Hey I just heard about the FFML, and decided to join
because:
I had posted some fics on the RAAC which were really
works in progress, so they weren't really ready.
So I wanted to bounce some fanfic ideas off you all:
My Best Fic Right Now:
Jusenkyo Spring Water: What would happen if someone
marketed Jusenkyo Spring Water? Well, you'll find
out.
Current Fanfic Ideas I'm Actually Working On Right
Now:
Paired Off: A fic which pairs up the most unlikely
couples with full and complete stories to back the
matches up.
The Bruise: A altaverse fic where Ranma doesn't have
the "don't hit girls" philosophy for a very good
reason.
Wo de Airen: Shampoo discovers something about Ranma
that none of the other fiances know which gives her
an edge.
Offhanded Comments: A fic that explores how several
offhanded comments totally alter people's lives.
The Most Bitter Kiss of All: Ranma gets tricked
again by Shampoo, and surprises everybody with his
reaction.
The Last Straw: Genma decideds to cancel the
engagement after seeing Akane do something horrible.
Emerald Ranma: A fic where Ranma loses track of his
home universe after accidentally leaving it.
here's the thing: I'm interested in doing a
self-insertion style of fic that doesn't suck, so I
want to know what people think of the following
ideas:
Fanfic Ideas I'd like to explore:
1) A story where I switch bodies with Ranma (is
that too much? probably it is)
2) A story where I accidentally befriend Kuno (as
a subplot not main plot)
3) A story where I appear in Nerima while knowing
practically no Japanese, and I try to match up the
worst couples (i.e. Cologne and Soun)
4) A story where I die and accidentally possess
someone's body randomly
5) The story behind my "Lord Jeram" character
(there really is one, that I thought up years ago
when I made up the character)
6) Throwing Ranma and the gang into a world I
created
The only self-insertion fic I have involved my Amtgard
live-action RPG persona, well actually it was a
character with the same name as my Amt persona
(Thrythlind) but was more or less just an anime
version of me as a mage (the scary part is that it
didn't take much to make me a anime character) any
way....the main point of myself being there was to get
the character I REALLY wanted there (a cat girl ninja
that turns into water, the potentials were too many to
not have her run in with the Ranma crew)...since my
Amt persona was the only one I had at the moment with
dimensional travel powers and would be traveling with
someone on Reiko's (cat girl) level
