Utena : Pale Reflections
Prologue : Meeting anew
Pain. The blood spilling onto the floor from her bruised and bloodied
body. Still holding the sword in her pale hand, Utena stood and faced
Him. The enemy now.
------------
In a small hospital in Tokyo-ku, Japan, a young woman lay tossing and
turning on a white bed in the middle of a white room. Looking upon her,
one would first notice the long, pink hair cascading down her back and
framing her face. Then they would notice the gently swelling stomach of
the girl who woke up screaming.
------------
<Not that dream again. Please kami, not that dream again.> Utena quietly
started sobbing into her hands. <No,> she corrected herself, <Not dreams
. . .Memories.>
That was the reason she couldn't remember. Something had happened at the
place they called Ohtori. Something she needed to remember and something
she strove to forget.
"Utena-sama!" Utena was surprised as a bundle of rose scented woman
hugged her tight. There was something about this woman that felt awfully
familiar to Utena.
Roses.
Suddenly frowning, the girl pulled back. "Utena-sama. . . Your stomach.."
"Who are you miss?" Utena asked curiously. She felt she should know this
person, a surging of emotion welled up every time she looked at those oddly
deep green eyes.
"Himemiya Anshi. You are Tenjou Utena, ne?"
"Yes, how did you know?"
"Call it a hunch. Would you like something to eat?" Anshi asked as she
placed
her hands atop Utena's.
"I'd like that.Anshi-san."
And with those oddly final words, the weaving of Fate's web was continued.
Two ancient lovers would be tested and if they passed, the world was in
store
for the greatest powers it had known since the rising of Saotome Ranma and
Matriarch Shan Pu.
