Well, in defense of our ending, I suppose I'd be better off just saying
this outright instead of just hinting:
Yes, there will be a sequel. It will be about Mara, and the
consequences of the things that happened leading up to the end of
Goddess in the Mirror. The unanswered questions were left there on
purpose, to be addressed in the sequel. :)
Also, as for why she took things as she did, as opposed to going after
Keiichi... Basically, she had just come to the decision to try and have
a real relationship with him. That's a big step for someone like her,
and when Keiichi yelled at her (which she wasn't expecting at all),
that, combined with the onset of the guilt that had been building up
inside of her ever since the started the whole thing, caught her
off-guard and left her speechless. (Sorry about the run-on
sentance--I'm in a hurry :)) Had it happened at some other time, the
results would have been different.
And as for the ending being too perfect... think of it more as a moment
of peace. I think Kei and Bell earned it.
Anyway, thanks for reading. We hope you like the sequel. :)
Later,
Bart Kelsey
