Anyone wishing to contribute fanart for this story is welcome. In
addition, Bridget and I will be offering some of the original artwork
drawn and painted by us in these links, and in several pieces of future
artwork this summer, as prizes for the best submissions. First Prize
will get first pick of the available artwork, second prize will get
second pick, and so on until we run out of either submissions or prizes.
All prizes will be insured and mailed via Priority Mail.
What we're looking for:
Fan art that combines the elements of Ranma 1/2 and Battletech as seen
in "The Saotome Gambit": group portraits, characters and their 'mechs,
specific scenes from the story, or just surprise us. All mediums,
including CGI, are welcome. Color works will probably have an edge over
something monochromatic, though Bridget is a sucker for good pen-and-ink
drawings. CG Images of battlemechs with little or no elements of Ranma
1/2 in them will not fare well in consideration, no matter how
beautifully 3-D rendered.
Interested artists should email their submissions in jpeg or gif format,
preferrably optimized to under 100KB, and with an accompanying thumbnail
image (not necessary, but it helps) to wildeman@psn.net before September
1, 2000. If you don't have access to a scanner, snail-mail your
submission with return postage or a SASE (if you want it returned to

All artwork remains the property of the original artists, for as much as
that's worth for fanart based on copyrighted source material. All
artwork will also find a home on our Fan Art page (with appropriate
