But compared to new university graduates in Japan that is REALLY good money.
Their pay is more like 150,000 -200,000 a month.
5000 yen a batch? Which is how many ... 5 photos? 1000 yen a photo is
steep, but maybe quite Nabiki. Developing a roll of 24 color 35mm film is
like 1,400 yen.
Oh, okay. See, I wasn't sure. : ) In fact I had no idea. I was
thinking
it was more like 10 yen to a dollar... Wish I knew where I got that figure
cause it's TOTALLY wrong...
it is apporx 107 yen to the dollar, however, since it fluxs often, most
people just do the 100yen =$1 converstion (it's easier in a hurry too).

Mm hmm, yeah. Makes much more sense now that a shrine could pay Ranma
_that_ much. :)
Actually depending on the size of the shrine I think that they do make a
decent living. People regularly come and make offerings. People always
come and buy omamori (like trinket with a prayer inside for whatever you
wanted)...postcards, incense, and other thingsa re sometimes sold too...
Plus the festivals at shrines... I don't think that they're rich (unless
it's Toshogu or Kinkakuji), but they do well enough.
