Okay well I received my first bit of c&c for chapter 1 of Treasure Hunter,
not too long ago and it got me thinking... See, I began writing this series
in early January with the idea that I would just write it as it comes. I
didn't want any pre-readers because, well, I didn't think I was good enough
for one. I guess all in all I'm not, but the deal is I want Treasure Hunter
to be read, and I want it to be liked. I personally think that the plot and
future Ideas I have for the fic are pretty neat, and I want to express them
as best as I possibly can. So I'm asking for pre-readers... I'm not looking
for a lot, just two or three, so I'll probably narrow the list down
depending on the replies I get.
Here's what I'm looking for in a pre-reader... Someone that can help me with
grammar and the occasional misspelling. Someone that can help me stay
consistent in my ideas. Someone who can help me develop my ideas better
(I.E. not giving me ideas, but helping me better describe the ones I already
have in writing.). Someone who's willing to discuss with me some of the
directions my fic seem to be taking...
I don't require that the pre-reader be good at all of these, I simply hope
to find through two or three different pre-readers these list of qualities
as a whole.
Not familiar with Treasure Hunter? Here's the low down... Ranma and Nabiki
are whisked away from Japan to a remote location off the florida coast to
train under a man by the name of Sean Oliver. He is a Treasure Hunter/Thief
by trade and has been doing it for his entire life. The man is looking for a
couple of heirs to the throne and finds them in Ranma and Nabiki. The plot
as a whole is about Ranma and Nabiki along with friends old and new in a
gigantic journey spanning the entire world, in which they unlock mysteries
and discover secret treasures. There is an underlying plot to the story
which won't be evident until much, much later in the fic.
To anyone who is keeping up with my series currently, fear not I am working
on chapter 4 as quick as possible. I'm not gonna have the gigantic 4 month
gap that I had between two and three. oh and it'll be a doosie. Whereas all
my previous chapters ranged generally between 30-35k this chapter is only
halfway finished and I'm at 56k. :)
I humbly thank any and all who have read this post and thank even more to
