muttered. "Who was that blue guy and why did he give me a ring?"
I don't think the fact that the first GL of Earth was Hal Jordan is
publically known to the point that a teenager in Japan would know it.
Not only that, but Kyle's ring IS Jordan's ring. Ganthet picked up the ring
Hal tossed away when he became Parallax and reformed it, removing the
impurity that made it vulnerable to yellow, removing its duplication powers,
etc. This is why Parallax comes back and says to Kyle "You have something
that belongs to me" and asks for it back.
This IS the last GL ring. There are no others. All the duplications were
destroyed, and Kyle's ring can't duplicate. OA's power is dead, and the
Guardians' power lost. You'd have to come up with something pretty good to
accomodate Kyle AND Akane. I'd rather see a fic where Akane takes the place
of Kyle.
