Warning: Spoilers!
First off I suggest you go read the Ranma scans or find some manga with
these stories in them.
The shishihoukoudan. First off it's not a beam. It is a ball of chi.
This is clearly stated in the story. The shi shi houkodan and The moukou
takabisha both use heavy ki. One is not lighter than the other. Ranma is
able to use another emotion to counter the Shishihoukoudan when he is
able to generate the same amount of weight in confidence. Meaning? The
Moukou Takabisha works just like the Shishihoukodan.
Ranma does not use the Mouko takabisha to defeat the shishihoukoudan
either. He uses the perfect form of the shishihoukoudan to defeat Ryoga.
[He rides the wave and uses the force to deliver a punch using the boy's
own attack to beat him.]
The pillar of Ki Ryoga uses to create the perfect, or completed
Shishihoukodan forms into a ball and falls to the ground.
Both Ranma and Ryoga's chi attacks take the form of a ball of chi. The
chi ball does have a tail in the movies. [Kind of like a comet] So it
kind of looks like a beam.
The bakusai tenketsu. Is not an Amazon secret! This is also revealed in
the Shishihoukodan story. A construction worker from Japan tells Ryoga
about it, he knows about the Bakusai tenketsu. The shishihoukodan was
created to compliment the bakusai tenketsu in construction work. It is
for clearing the debris that are caused by the bakusai tenketsu.
Katsutenshin Amaguriken: -Is- a special attack in the manga, not just
speed training. Ranma uses it from time to time. During the last story
with Nodoka, he uses it on his father. He also does this in the Bake Neko
story.
Ryoga uses the Bakusai Tenketsu to travel around. Yes. He goes
underground and uses it to burow tunnels. He often pops into a scene this
way in the manga. It's not really made clear how he pops up in a scene
that way until the 'Ryoga's date with Akari' story in the late thirties
where he is shown using the technique that way.
Genma is not really a bastard. Just dull, you shouldn't treat him like a
bad person in fanfics.
The biggest load of crap in Fanfic. Genma is an honorless man, he's
abusive and greedy thinking only of himself. If you don't believe me go
read Vol. 36. He spends most of the story trying to steal the family
treasure from his wife to pawn off for 2000 yen. He also ignores her
feelings and does some pretty nasty things throughout the story. She is
very distressed by this. He even reveals a technique called the 'Violent
Dad Technique' and attacks Nodoka with it.
Ranma does not have to be a pervert to impress Nodoka. She believes him
to be manly because he tried to save the family treasure, and he saved
her life. She also knows how to use her Katana very well. Genma has a few
close calls with her sword swinging in the last story. She is shown to be
quite skilled with it and not at all clumzy. The 'it's not very manly'
line isn't even in the manga from what I know. In fanfics it seems it
should be more of a tease from her from what I've seen in the manga. Just
something she uses to scare some sense into the Saotome men from time to
time.
And yes, she does find out about the curse.
These are the things I've seen the most of. Hope this clears up a few
misconseptions I've seen a lot of.
Ja!
