That's not all that curious. Presumably people from the palace go out on
various errands in the city proper. In fact Equoris would likely assume
that she was Sailor Mars' maid, out doing some shopping. Servants of
high nobility are notorious for being as snooty or more than their masters
and mistresses.
So far this looks like a very good Ranma/SM crossover. Although many
of them have been tried using similar ideas, most of them die on the vine.
One thing that puzzles me is the ground work for a Ranma/Rei romance that
comes into strange conflict with Ranma's acceptance of his love for Akane.
There just doesn't seem to be room for Ranma/Rei to happen believably.
The author might be trying something that hasn't really been done before,
like Ranma sticking with *his* love (Akane) rather than allowing the
memories of the past to rule the present.
