I don't own Tenchi or any of the characters.
I had been thinking of posting a Gundam Wing SI but couldn't really get
it started because I don't really know that much about GW, but I DO know
a lot about Tenchi Muyo. There are three chapters to this tale, I hope
you enjoy this since it is my first real fan fic, any C&C is welcome.
Chapter One
Tenchi Chooses=20
Tenchi was going insane with all these girls around wanting him to love
them and forsake all the others, his honor and pride had not wanted to
hurt any of the women, but he had to make a choice so the chaos would
end.
He made his plans to escape with the aid of his Grandfather
Yosho, and then the plan was put into action and he snuck away
with only a tent and some weapons to hunt and fish with.
For the first day of his vacation all he did was lounge around and
enjoy the peace and quiet he had craved for so long. He fished in
the nearby river, started a fire, and cooked his catch and ate it,
then he turned in for the night knowing that he would have to get
to business tomorrow.
He rose early and did some exercises and practiced with nobody
but the trees. Then he went and sat on the river bank and started
to think about how his life had changed so much since the girls came,
he hardly slept and spent so much time trying to avoid the uncomfortable
situations that they put Tenchi in.
He knew he loved most of them in his own way but the constant bickering
over him was ruining his life. That was when he knew he had to chose
one of the girls and hope the rest understood, or at least accepted his
choice without much argument. He started thinking of all the girls and
started to narrow his choices down to less complicate matters.
Tenchi loved Ayeka very much but along with Sasami, they were related
by blood. He didn't want an incestuous marriage so he ruled both Ayeka
and Sasami out, besides all he knows is Earth and has no real desire to
someday rule over Jurai.
Intelligent conversations was one of the things Tenchi craved for in his
life so obviously Mihoshi was out because, well Mihoshi is Mihoshi.
Kiyone was indeed beautiful and intelligent but too career driven and
would always put Tenchi behind her job. He wanted someone who
was going to be there for him and not running away chasing criminals
through the galaxy. He also wasn't sure where Kiyone stood when it
came to him, she was polite to him, but she was also distant and sort
of cold. He would never be happy with her.
Washu. Where to begin with her, he didn't want to be the subject of
her "experiments" anymore he knew that for sure. She was really smart
and a beautiful woman too, but when it came right down to it he was
terrified of her and her experiments that usually blew up his house.
Tenchi would never pick her even if all the others weren't there.
Ryo oki? Even in human form she resembled a cabbit so she
wasn't even in the running really.
All that left was Ryoko. She had been the first woman in his life
after his mother, and she loved him stronger than all the others
Tenchi thought. She was willing to die for him, she proved that
many times. But Ryoko was a wanted criminal, being chased
by the bounty hunter Nagi, he sometimes feared for his own life
when Nagi was involved. He loved Ryoko for her spunk and
her fearless nature, he didn't have a reckless side at all and she
was always reckless. Life with her would be more than exciting,
and he wasn't really scared of her anymore, Tenchi realized he
needed the chaos that was Ryoko.
When Tenchi came back to his senses he realized it was getting
dark and he was hungry. Even though a rabbit was munching on
some grass near by he couldn't bring himself to kill it because it
reminded him of the cabbit at home that he thought was cute
and cuddly. He started another fire and caught another fish.
In the morning Tenchi put the fire out with water then covered it
with dirt so there was no chance of a fire, then packed up camp
and headed home.
How he was going to tell them was troubling him, Tenchi knew
that Ayeka wouldn't take it too well and would run home once
she found out. The others might not over-react, but Ayeka
was an over-reaction waiting to happen.
When he walked into the house he was hog piled by the six
women in his life, all begging for an explanation of his
disappearance. Only Ryoko stood back so she
could hug Tenchi all by herself, this he noted and was grateful.
He finally broke free and asked them all to take a seat.
Tenchi decided on his journey home that he had to take care
of some things before he broke the news, one was attempting
to rid Ryoko of Nagi. That meant a trip to Jurai to plead with
the court to release her from the charges that had been made
over 700 years ago.
When all the women were seated and his father and grandfather
were found and also seated in the large living room Tenchi began.
"There is something you all must know but I can not reveal it at
this time. I have a need to go to Jurai for some business."
Turning to Ryoko, "Will you take me?"
"Of course Tenchi, but why all the secrecy?"
"In due time Ryoko. Now time is of the essence here so I want
to leave immediately."
All began shouting excitedly about going to Jurai.
"Excuse me!!! This trip is for Ryoko and myself alone, nobody else."
Ayeka and Sasami's hurt faces told him of their feelings, while Washu
just smiled and got a devious look on her face.
"Why?", asked Mihoshi.
"My business there should only take a day or two hopefully, and
I just want to go and get done and come home. Then I will tell
you all what this is about."
And with that Tenchi made an abrupt turn and went upstairs to
ready himself for the journey.
