Hi, me again. In response to several emails I've received in the last 15
minutes or so, let me make this general announcement, in lieu of repeating
it over and over:
No, the GURPS book *isn't* IST 2. (The rumors of IST 2 are simply that --
*rumors*. I *did* submit a 1990s timeline for the IST world to Pyramid
last year, but they rejected the article for being too damn big for such
an "unpopular" worldbook. If anyone would like to change their minds about
"unpopular", please feel free to email the appropriate persons at SJ
Games...)
The book is, in fact, "GURPS Shapeshifters". I get to redeem myself for that
horrible mess I created for GURPS Bestiary 2nd Edition. In addition to about
25 pages of new shapeshifting rules and campaign guidelines, there will be
some 100 pages of shapechanger "races" and types including at least four
varieties stolen from or inspired by various anime (Ranma, Tenchi, Guyver,
Birdy the Mighty...)
My first draft deadline is December 1. Final draft deadline is not set.
I think that's everything everyone asked for...
Thanks for your interest, and please buy a copy when it comes out -- I *need*
the 39.9 cents that I get for each book sold...
