Begin Recording.

The final moments of Tal'shi'mi'adar were quite vibrant, to say the
least. Tal'shi'mi'dar being the ultimate end of everything. Most of the
existing beings were quite unaware of the destruction, and they perished
quickly.

Others were quite aware, and they pleaded to avoid it.

    Several were spared.

Of course, there were those who simply drank a lot.

******

In a Restaurant, at the end of everything, three men sat around a
table, drinking. Well, actually, only one of them was drinking. The other
two stared out the window, watching the stars collapse in upon themselves.
A voice in the background spoke about how, for their pleasure, the universe
would implode. The three men cheerfully ignored him. One of the men
stopped looking out the window, and turned to the other man, who eyed the
drink in front of him warily.

"Well, Arthur, it's been swell knowing you," said the first.

"Ford, just what do you mean by that? Are you leaving? It's not a
horrible thing. I really won't mind that much," replied the second man,
whose name, strangely enough, was
Arthur.

"No, I mean the real end. We're all gonna kick the bucket. Die. Stop
living."

"Well, this is obviously the real end. That's why Milliways has it's
nickname."

"Yes, but the end hasn't been like this before. We're not going to live
through this one. This is the big End."

    "Oh. Terrific," replied Arthur.

At that point, the third man (who had two heads, by the way), broke into
the conversation. "This is terrific! We're going to die! Let's
celebrate!"

"Oh, hush, Zaphod," spoke Ford. "We _are_ celebrating."

"Ah. This is obviously a new meaning of the word celebrate. At least
I'll never have to..."

The entirety of creation chose to end at that point.

******

"But Father, why did you have to save him? He's the absolutely most
insufferable creature in all the universes! I cannot stand him!" shouted a
young girl.

"Thank you, ma cheri. You're almost as much fun as he was," replied a
man who appeared to be around thirty-five."

    "You. Are. An. Asshole!"

"Daughter! Your language, please," came a booming voice.

    "My apologies, Father."

"And you, Jester. Stop annoying Tokimi."

"Yes, Mon Capitan! As you wish!"

"Children," began the voice, and five others appeared in turn, standing
near the Jester and Tokimi. "Tal'shi'mi'adar has, by my will, Terminated.
It is now My Will that the next Cycle, Ka'lis'mean, begin. You are all that
remain of Tal'shi'mi'adar, the seven of you. It is you seven who are the
Elders now." He paused. "Quynn, you shall remain in your function as
Caretaker of the Streams, with Petunia as the Guardian of the Gates. The
Triplets will, as such, be granted a slightly larger portion of My Powers.
Tsunami, lesser creator. Tokimi, lesser destroyer. Scarlet, balance of the
two."

His eyes scanned the room, falling upon the Jester and the grey
cloaked humanoid who stood by him. "Ah, yes. Kat. Chaos embodied with
good. You can keep on doing...well, you can keep on doing whatever it is
exactly that you do. Have fun."

    "Cool," replied Kat.

    And so, Ka'lis'mean began.

*******

(End Teaser)

Well, that's the teaser. Tal'shi'mi'adar and Ka'lis'mean are made up words
that sounded good.

Betcha can't guess who the Jester was.

C&C is appreciated, but MST's are not. While they might be amusing on TV, I
find that they aren't really beneficial to a person who is writing. I know
that there are bad writers, but I think that real C&C is much better and
less offensive. If you really want to write a C&C, contact that author. He
might appreciate it.
