"Link."  Sheik, the ever mysterious person that had aided the warrior of time on several occasions, "You have done well... now, you will see me for who I really am."

Confused, Link and Navi stood there, dumbfounded, as Sheik removed the turban and mask that had concealed his face.  Though Link had often wondered what he would look like beneath the mask, due to the fact that he felt he had seen him before, he never gave it much thought.

However, his perception of the mysterious minstrel changed when he saw that Sheik's facial features were more lean and defined than he thought... like a woman's!

"What the... "  He said, not believing that this one had not only clearly concealed her identity, but her gender as well.

"You still do not recognize me?" The girl said, starting to push her golden colored hair back.  With an image forming in his mind, she began to smile.  "You were the little elf boy I saw in my dream... and I threw you the orcarina that helped you travel though time."

Link and Navi blanched.

Sheik was in reality, Princess Zelda!

Word soon spread quickly.

"I declare! Who would have thought?!" Malon said, with her Southern Belle accent.

*****

"Hmph, Zora!  I knew it all along, Zora!"  Ruto grumbled.

*****

"What?! You're joking, right?" Saria asked.

*****

Rauru grumbled with his face in his hands.  "Oh you're highness, how could you?!"

*****

With her arms crossed, Impa only snickered.

*****

Darunia shurgged, "Coulda fooled me."

*****

Deep in thought, Nabooru considered, "Hmmm, this could be a good oppertunity..."

*****

Link had no clue what to think.  All those times, she had been there to help him.  On top of that, she was royalty.  That was when a single memory came back to him and he had to let her know it, for she had revealed her secret to him.

"Zelda... thank you... also, there's something I have to tell you..."

Her face almost brightened at the thought that he might have been thinking about her and he would finally confess his true feelings.

"I... I..." He stammered, not knowing how to say it right.  Taking all of his courage into a single leap of faith, he twirled around and in a half second tranformation sequence revealed...

"I'M A PRINCESS TOO!! O HO HO HO HO HO HO!" He was now dressed in a pretty dress that did not suit his figure, a small gold crown, and a bit of make up that did not help at all.

Zelda's shoulders slumped in disbelief as Navi fluttered over by her side.  While Link continued to laugh and twirl about in an uncontrolled frenzy, despite the high heels, Zelda asked Navi.

"He doesn't like losing, does he?"

"Nope. Not at all."

Elsewhere...

*****

Embarrassed, Saria hid her face. "Liiiiiink!"

*****

With clenched fists, Ruto growled, "I'm gonna kill him, Zora!"

*****

In a panic, Malon screamed, "Someone save Epona!!"

*****

Uncharacteristically, Nabooru blushed and started to laugh uncontrollably.

Impa thought with no visable emotion on her face, "I should have known."

*****

Darunia was nowhere to be seen, as he was blowing chunks(of rocks that is.).

Rauru sent in his resume to other agencies for better work.  "I wonder if "The Equalizer" is having a revision series done..."

And finally;

Gannondorf could not help but be swooned and decided he found the perfect bride... or so he thought.

Notes:

Ok folks, I'll tell you where I got this idea from.  I got it from a 4 Coma(panel) Gag manga based on the game. I also got one for Link's Awakening, but that's a different story. It essentially went like Zelda revealing herself, the sages reaction, including Malon's, and eventually ending up with Link proclaiming that he too was a princess.

What Zelda meant by "Hates losing" is that by she being a princess, placed her over him and winning because of it. And since Link has always been winning since the game began, for him to lose in such a manner is rather hard to accept. ^^;;

It's Japanese Humor, what can one do?

Also, for those of you who don't know "The Equalizer" one of those 'late 70's-detective-action-invincible-old-guy' shows.  Like Barnaby Jones, only a bit different.  I kinda liked it.
