For eveyone who has enjoyed the first two chapters of "Saotome's
Choice", I have some news for you.
1) I am about to post revisions of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. The revision
of Chapter One is mainly grammar and typo fixing. The revision of
Chapter Two has this, but also includes a new scene between Nodoka and
Ranko.
2) Chris Stassen has already done a fine job catching some silly errors
on my
part in the first two chapters, and has volunteered to pre-read later
chapters.
I also have some other pre-readers ready, willing and able. This will be
enough, no more pre-readers needed.
3) It is now obvious to me that I was overly optimistic that I could
tell this story
the way I wanted to in only six chapters. Therefore, there will be more.
How many more, I can't say at this time, but trust me, this will NOT be
a 30+ chapter epic. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
4) Thanks to everyone who send back response to this story so far. As
someone still fairly new to the whole fanfic writing thing, I was a
little concerned about how this story would go over. After I posted the
first two chapters, I was
expecting a deluge of flames. If the way this story develops in later
chapters bothers you, that's fine. I don't mind if you don't like the
direction certain things go. I understand that some people will not be
pleased with certain aspects of the story to come.
5) My pre-readers are anxiously (I hope) awaiting the arrival of Chapter
Three in their mailbox. I hope to get it to them sometime tonight. It's
essentially written, I just want to go through it one more time before
sending it out. There
is at least one minor change I want to make first. Hopefully, soon it
will be posted here.
