Despite my continued computer problems, I'm still going to keep my
promises. And while I
_still_ have not gotten my damn Visa card, ADT2 is
still being planned, as are the continued Anime Death Matches 10-20.
Unfortunately, while my general luck is improving, I've yet to get back to
the Variable Geo chapter 8 and 9. Luckily, I have gained another computer,
which I'm going to use to get information off my old D drive.
But, there are still things I'd like people to do. Like, for
instance, make or find screenshots of Miranda and Material (from the
Advanced Variable Geo 1 or 2 for Sony Playstation), K1 or K2 (from the Super
Famicom system). I'm working on doing such myself, but it'll be a while.
And expect a few more twists, all of you fools who think you know
where the story is going. I'm abrupt and obnoxious, but I know a few plot
twists.
Kudos to Christopher Olsen, fellow fanfic-er who realized that VG is
a virtually unexplored series too, thus it has plenty of possibility.

Chapter 5 - When Demonesses And Goddesses Clash

Note: You don't
_have_ to know about Variable Geo (or Advanced Variable Geo
as the game is called) to read this fanfic. Expect spoilers for the Anime

enough to see Cowboy Bebop or Dragon Half, stop now, you filthy little

Last Episodes: Chiho lost to Yuki, Manami was defeated by Jun, Saki beat up
Yuka, and a possible link between Elena and the mystery guy has seemingly
appeared. Manami and Jun recovered swiftly, but Manami was informed to take
it easy. Yuka is still confused. Someone attacked Satomi and something is
wrong with Yuki and Elena.
****** ****** ****** ****** ******
Yuki's mind was a blur, trying to comprehend what was going on. She
recalled a blue-haired little girl from long ago, but she was uncertain if
that girl was the same as the woman. She raced inside in the Soyokaze Hotel
and before the staff could even inquired as to what her rush was or anything
similiar, she was racing up the stairs to the fourth floor.
If it was the same girl, then that meant she had a connection with the very
woman who killed Yuki's mother. Yuki's eyes narrowed as she focused on
finding the way to room 478. On instinct, she headed in a random direction
and smashed down a door, inquiring forcefully, "IS THIS ROOM 478?"
The two men on the bed stopped their gyrations and looked at her. One
hesistantly responded, "No, this is Room 477. 478 is right across the
hall,"
Yuki blinked and turned around.
"So it is, sorry about interupting you," Yuki noted, quickly pulling the
door back up into an upright position.
She slammed through the door to Room 478 and paused, sensing an immense
power one of the next rooms. But, it was so strong, she couldn't tell which
room it was in, so she chose a door and charged. If someone had been on the
toilet when Yuki busted in, they would've completed any actions they were
performing instantaneously. Naturally as some would say, the figures in the
bedroom weren't that impressed when she busted in.
There were four figures in total. First was a pale-skinned long-green
haired woman wearing a maroon outfit. The second was a white-haired woman
who looked to be in her early-to-mid twenties. She wore a red velvet dress
and looked almost the exact same as when Yuki last saw her.
The next two, a short-haired blonde and a long-haired brunette, were naked
in bed together, the blonde putting an effective restraining hold on the
brunette, who wasn't resisting. Had Yuki not been caught up in the two who
were NOT in bed, they would've had a new member in that particular bed and
this story would have another Lemon scene.
The duo of women who were standing stared at Yuki for a brief second. The
pale woman snarled at Yuki, spittle dripping from her mouth before the
not-yet-known woman blocked her line of sight.
"No, Saki. Let her stay. May I ask who you are and what you're doing
here?" the second woman inquired.
"I never thought you'd be so STUPID as to come back to life, Miranda
Jahana," Yuki spat.
Miranda Jahana frowned, "Do I know you?"
"My name is Yuki Asamiya, you killed my mother. Prepare to die," Yuki
declared simply before finishing her speech with a roar of, "BLOOD WOLF
HOWL!"
The explosion reverberated all throughout the entire hotel and broke
numerous windows. When the smoke cleared, Elena and Yuka were free of
whatever mind-control they were under and blushing awkwardly while hastilly
pulling on clothes; Yuki was on her knees, ready to puke at a moment's
notice as the massive energy drain had shocked her system; and Saki and
Miranda were safely encompassed in a translucent rose-shaped barrier.
Miranda frowned again, before inquiring, "You mean that Mariko Asamiya
actually had a child? Oh, yes! The two whelps. Were you the one crying
when I tore your mother's intestines out? It was too bad she was such a
poor fighter, but weakness had to be punished properly..,"
"SHUT UP, YOU GODDAMN BITCH! I'LL RIP YOU THROAT OUT WHEN I GET MY HANDS
ON YOU!" Yuki bellowed, the strength and conviction in her voice overcoming
the physical weakness she felt at the moment.
"What's going on?! Who are you people?" Yuka inquired.
Miranda noted Yuka's status was no longer 'Unconscious'.
"Oh poo. We'll have to do this some other night, little Yuki. I'll be
sure to visit your mother's grave," Miranda responded, floating out of the
now open area where a wall used to be, and away into the night with Saki.
"MIRANDA, I SWEAR THAT I WILL KILL YOU!!!" Yuki shouted, before she could
no longer stay upright and collapsed.
"Miranda? As in Miranda Jahana? She's been dead for years, that couldn't
have been her!" Elena stated.
".......," Yuka responded.
Elena looked at the now totalled room.
"So much for my security deposit," Elena noted.
Yuka knelt next to Yuki.
"Are you all right?" Yuka inquired.
"......... no. But, I'll be just fine when I get my hands around Miranda's
throat," Yuki said, forcing herself into a kneeling position.
"I think an explanation is in order. Who are you, who were those people
and what the HELL is going on?" Elena growled.
Two people appeared in the room, via the demolished area that Miranda had
retreated through.
"Shoot. Just missed her," the nameless man declared.
Elena took note of the newcomers. The first was the nondescript young man
that Yuka had met twice earlier. The second was a tall dark-skinned girl
wearing a white gi with a blue belt tied around it.
"Sensei?" Elena asked.
"Elena. Hey, how are you?" the young man inquired.
"What's going on?" Yuki inquired.
"Sensei, I believe we can no longer ignore Saki or Miranda. They seem
determined to ruin this," the girl noted.
"Yes, Angel, I do believe you are correct. Since that is so, we will have
to explain it later to these girls," the young man declared.
"Um, Sensei-" Elena began.
"Elena, I can't discuss this with you just yet. But what I can tell you is
this: Tomorrow night, we'll meet in Tokyo Central Park at approximately 6:30
PM. I'll explain everything then. Until then, watch your back and gather
as many VG fighters as you can," the young man told her.
Elena sighed and nodded.
"Wait, who are you? At least tell us that much!" Yuki growled.
"I have no name. You can call me RG, though. This is Angel. And this is
farewell," the young man said, creating an energy sphere around himself and
Angel and floating off into the night sky.
"RG? What kind of name is that?" Yuka asked.
"Random Guy. It's a pun he uses to mask his real name," Elena explained.
Yuka helped Yuki to her feet before the smaller girl fainted. Elena
sighed.
"Know of any place we can go?" Elena inquired.
"Yeah, I know a friend," Yuka responded.
The trip to Satomi's mansion was long and boring. Neither of the veteran
VG warriors wanted to talk about what had just happened. Yuka's mind was
wandering, trying to figure out what the puzzle was without knowing what the
pieces were. Elena was alternating between hoping that RG would train her
more and maybe propose and tallying the amount of cash that would be needed
to replace all those spare clothes that had burned up. Naturally, Yuki's
mind was elsewhere.
When they turned the last corner, Yuka noticed the flashing lights. Elena
noticed them shortly afterwards, having been distracted briefly by Yuki
suddenly mumbling. However, Yuka's gasp of surprise had snapped her head
up.
"Oh, great! What next?!" Elena demanded angrily.
They hurried as much as they could with Yuki acting as a dead weight.
Thankfully, the crowd around the mansion's gates was pretty sparse as many
didn't want to get out of their apartments just to gawk. Plus, it was just
more sensible, not to mention respectful of the VG champion that lived
there. Anything to bring police to a VG champ's mansion wasn't something
anyone wanted to get involved with.
The police were at least doing their duty to keep the few annoying gawkers
back. Yuka approached one that was both near the barricades and didn't
appear occupied. He yawned briefly before noticing her.
"What's going on?" Yuka inquired.
"I'm afraid that's official police business, ma'am," the officer diligently
responded.
"I'm a friend of Satomi Yajima, the person who happens to live here," Yuka
told him.
"Hmmm. One moment," the officer said, turning slightly before telling her,
"Stay behind the barricade,"
Yuka stayed behind the barricade as the officer motioned an inactive
officer to take his place and headed off past Yuka's field of vision. The
second officer wasn't as pleasant to talk to, though.
"Hey, if you like to gawk, I get off-duty in a few minutes. I can give you
something to gawk at..," the second officer said, waggling his eyebrows
suggestively.
Yuka glared at him and was going to tell him exactly what he could do with
his proposal when the first officer returned with Satomi and punched the
second officer in the back of the head.
"Now I know why the sergeant's been trying to get you removed from the
force," the first officer growled irrately as Satomi hugged Yuka. He hauled
the second cop away, hissing morality and etiquette were part of a police
officer's job.
"Satomi, what's going on? Why are all these police here?" Yuka inquired.
Satomi didn't respond for a while, choosing to cry and embrace Yuka
tighter. Finally, Satomi fell quiet for a while and responded,
"Dai-daisuke's been kidnapped!"
Yuka gasped.
"Lotsa gasping...," Yuki mumbled, beginning to open her eyes.
"Who would do such a thing?" Yuka asked.
"I-i don't know, b-but th-they attacked me and when I-i woke up, they-they
had t-taken him," Satomi answered, sniffling and hiccuping.
Yuka sighed inwardly. Someone was going to lengths to make sure she and
her friends suffered. Saki and Miranda were probably behind this too, but
what their purpose was... was difficult to foresee.
[It couldn't be mere revenge after all this... could it?] Yuka pondered.
Unseen by the girls, the first officer spoke with a lieutenant and after
presenting the second officer, approached them again. He cleared his throat
briefly to get their attention.
"Miss Yajima. It would be best if you found a friend's place to sleep
tonight. We would move you to another location, but the lieutenant doesn't
think the Police Station would be a good place to stay," the officer told
them.
Satomi turned to Yuka, who turned to Elena, who shrugged.
"Fine, my place, the lot o' ya," Yuki said, wobbily forcing herself back
into a standing position.
The first officer shrugged.
"We'll just need your name, address and phone number so we can contact you
later," the officer explained.
Yuki walked up to the officer and whispered the information into his ear.
He nodded and wrote down every word precisely. As soon as the quartet left,
he silently swore never to clean that ear. One doesn't get many
opportunities to feel a sexy VG warrior's breath on your ear.
The quartet entered the apartment almost with a sigh. Yuka wasn't
appreciating the fact that places she stayed were getting a nasty tendency
to explode or become violated, Elena was just plain tired, Satomi was
feeling depressed and Yuki was exhuasted.
"Oh, Yuki, you.... look like crap," Ayako noted, exiting the kitchen.
"Don't remind me," Yuki moaned, stumbling towards the couch.
Satomi looked at Ayako warily, but the group convened in the living room.
"Okay, Ayako, these are... uh, I know Satomi Yajima, but-" Yuki started.
"I'm Yuka Takeuchi and this is Elena Goldsmith," Yuka introduced herself
and Elena.
"I'm Yuki Asamiya and that's Ayako Yuuki," Yuki responded, gesturing
appropriately.
Satomi and Ayako exchanged looks, leaving Satomi uneasy and Ayako wondering
if either Yuki or Satomi would care for a threesome. Ayako received a
pillow the forehead, shaking her from her stare.
"Stop ogling the guests, we got a lot of stuff to do," Yuki said, sighing.
"First of all, I want to know how you knew those women who attacked us and
why you knew they were in our hotel room," Yuka inquired.
"I don't know the second girl, Saki, but I know Miranda Jahana. Her face
is etched in my mind ever since that day she killed my mother. My mother's
death was ruled an accident, despite what happened and those who witnesses
it, and Miranda was only forced out of the VG tournament," Yuki began.
"WHOA! Wait a minute, your mother was Mariko 'Typhoon' Asamiya?" Elena
asked.
"Who?" Yuka inquired.
"Mariko 'Typhoon' Asamiya, she was one of the greatest fighters in all of
the Kyoto, Okinawa and Hokkaido martial arts tournaments. In fact, she was
the very first VG champion and held the title for four whole VG
tournaments," Elena explained.
"Yes, my mother was 'Typhoon' Asamiya. And what should have been her fifth
victory was cut away by Miranda Jahana. Mom didn't just give up, though.
She fought the next year, but Miranda cheated, using a XKB-9000 in combat to
not only defeat my mother, but kill her as well," Yuki continued, pausing as
she noticed Ayako trembling in terror.
"An XKB-9000?" Satomi asked.
Ayako spoke up, "I doubt you would know of it. It's banned in just about
every country now. It's official name was the Experimental Ki Booster. It
was banned from all fighting tournaments first, as it gave fighters an
unnaturally high ki and thus an unfair advantage, but the prolonged usage
drove the user absolutely insane. The ban increased to cover the globe the
instant they tried to sell it to the United Earth Defense Force. Even the
plans for it were burned or confiscated,"
"How could it drive people insane?" Yuka demanded.
"Simple. The boost was always so dramatic that you started thinking you
were a god. That you were invincible. You'd probably start to think that
you were the savior of the planet, then you'd go on a rampage, because the
world doesn't conform to your standards," Elena continued.
"Normally, your ki only increases in small amounts during training. Your
mind starts to cope with the slight increase," Ayako finished.
"That's right, Miranda was driven insane shortly after being forced out of
the VG tournament and nearly destroy Shinjuku. The military was forced to
kill her after an extended engagement," Satomi interupted.
Yuka glanced at her.
"I read up on her," Satomi responded.
"As for your question on how I knew where to go, I'd like to say 'I don't
know how I knew you'd be there', but instead, I'll just say 'When a naked
blue-haired woman tells you specifically where to go in your dreams, you
don't question her'," Yuki answered.
The group stared at her for a while, then decided to turn to different
matters.
"So, to sum up everything, some crazy lady named Saki and a formerly dead
madwoman named Miranda Jahana have been going around blowing thing up and
breaking into rooms, Satomi's kid brother Daisuke was kidnapped, my sensei
and his student Angel are going to explain everything tomorrow, and we're
all tired and aching," Elena declared.
"That's right, let's call it a night," Yuka agreed.
To Ayako's amazement, Yuka, Yuki, Elena and Satomi fell asleep
simultaneously.
"But, what about dinner?" Ayako asked.
Fingers quickly tapped away at a keyboard. Occasional worried glances made
their way towards the only door in the room.
"Are the modifications done?" came the hushed whisper.
The answer came in a similiar whisper, "Not yet. I need another thirty
seconds,"
The first person looked worriedly at the clock while the second person
frantically typed out code into the computer.

"I hate this stupid OS. If we make it out of here, I'm never using Jahana
2022 OS ever again," the second person complained.
"I sense her," the first person whispered.
"Done," the second person answered, hitting "Enter".
The computer took three seconds, then blipped up a screen that terrified
both occupants of the room.
"BACK!" the second person yelled, shoving the first away as an object fell
from the ceiling, striking the second person in the arm.
The second person screamed for six seconds, then froze. The door to the
room opened and Miranda Jahana entered.
"Ntch. I told you two not to try anything funny," Miranda laughed.
"My god, woman, what the hell did you do?!" the first person demanded.
"Why, dear Akatski, he's been injected with an advanced bacteria that
hardens the muscles and skin, similiar to what happens in rigor mortis, only
to a rock-like consistency. Then, in a little over three days, it will
begin to decay his innards until he's nothing more than hardened muscle and
skin. He'll start to smell foul a few days after that, but after that,
he'll be nothing more than a hollow statue that can rot over the next
seventy years," Miranda answered.
"THAT'S BULLSHIT! Nothing can do that!" Doctor Akatski bellowed.
"My dear friend, I've had thousands of people working of fun little things
like this for me for years. Twenty five years, to be exact. They've
already deconstructed and recreated most bacteria and almost all viruses.
Things like this are mere child's play," Miranda responded.
Doctor Akatski looked at his fellow scientist and best friend.
"Just be glad I haven't killed you as well," Miranda answered.
"You might as well. I won't allow you to torment anyone else with your
twisted schemes!" Doctor Akatski snarled.
"You will, Doctor Akatski. Remember when I mentioned deconstruction and
recreation of most bacteria? I have the antidote to
_this_ nasty little
bacteria as well and if you promise to just finish up this little project,
I'll let you have it," Miranda responded.
For six agonizing minutes, Doctor Akatski debated over the two options.
Leave his best friend from childhood, who had grown up with him and was
almost his brother, die and probably be killed as well or help Miranda, get
the antidote and pray they weren't going to die anyway. Even if he didn't
go along, Miranda could probably find one or two people in next few months
to follow up and complete the assignment. One way or another, people would
suffer and Miranda certainly didn't care. Not to mention they weren't
exactly treading on new ground. Almost everything they were doing had been
done before, but no one had dared mixed all of the techniques together.
"All right, but I want proof that he's being treated properly," Doctor
Akatski responded, damning himself for being so weak.
"Good boy," Miranda whispered to him.

What is the true purpose of VG? Will anyone find out?
What will be explained? Who else will get involved?
How long did all this take to happen? Who's got Daisuke?
What's Miranda got up her sleeve?
And will there be another lemon scene?
Next, Chapter 6: Descending Angel
XKB-9000 was inspired by the idea of the "Accela" from Serial Experiments
Lain. I just changed it's function and made it's effect a lot more lasting.
