My first edition copy (it's in second or third now)
lists 38 different
real-world styles including, admittedly, a few you
might not consider useful.
Each style gets several paragraphs describing its
"look and feel", any
unique features or peculiarities, and finally, its
primary maneuvers and moves
(in GURPS terms, but they are named clearly enough
that you don't have to be a
GURPS expert to make use of them; if you do need
more info, the full descriptions
are included in the volume). It also makes an
important distinction between
"art" styles and combat styles (ie, Kendo vs.
Kenjutsu, Judo vs. Jujutsu).
As a side note of interest, among the listings is
Jeet Kune Do, the style Bruce
Lee created, and possibly the closest thing in the
real world to "Anything
Goes"/Musabetsu Kakuto. It also includes a couple
of "fantasy" styles, like
an Elven martial art, that you will probably find
useless, but fun to read.
