Heres roughly the first half of the chapter, there are probably quite a

number of errors in it but as I haven't posted anything for along while

I thought I'd put this up till I finish the chapter off.

Ranma was still busy tying to improve his speed with the Amaguriken and

learn some pressure points off of Tofu. Since the fight yesterday with

the terrorists Ranma was eager to learn whatever he could about both the

non-lethal and the lethal shiatsu. Tofu on the other hand was beginning

to feel frustrated with his abilities while he had renounced his vows,

including the Hippocratic oath he still felt some guilt, though he

admitted to him self not very much which possibly troubled him more.

Tofu was also trying to come to terms with his ability to use a form of

the dreaded cat-fist with out the mentally destabilising training, a

feat that according to Cologne and his own memories should be nearly

impossible. But then he supposed in the past how many people actually

had the opportunity to train with someone using the technique without

being shredded themselves, he was half surprised that Cologne hadn't

picked it up yet.

"You two pick it up. We can be fairly sure Ryoga will turn up here soon

and then Eonneh won't be far behind." Cologne admonished the two martial

artists. "Tofu you work on the Splitting Cats hairs with Shampoo, Ranma,

you're against me." *Ranma you will make a good son-in-law* Tofu and

Ranma squared off against their respective partners.

***********************

Ryoga looked around 'Nerima General' realising he had never seen the

store before, such an odd collection of stuff, food, scrolls, martial

arts equipment, stuff for food preparation, collectable cards, manga and

to Ryoga's immense relieve a large pot of water being heated strangely

it was being heated at floor level, a convenient height for a small

black pig. Ryoga realised that he was no longer tied up, hoping to

leave before the shop owner came back. *Freedom*, Ryoga bounded towards

the steaming water and dove it causing the usual mess as his physical

volume changed. Glancing around Ryoga spotted his backpack and clothes

conveniently laid out beside the pot, and changed into them before

looking around the shop.

A Scroll seemed to beg out for him to pick it up, it was almost as if it

had been waiting for him, grasping it visions swarmed though Ryoga of

him defeating Ranma and winning Akane, actually looking at the scroll

entitled "Shi Shi Houkodan" reading through the scroll Ryoga declared,

"Ranma prepare to die."

************************

Ranma took a ready stance watching his opponent, knowing from painful

experience that the old ghouls age made her more formidable, with none

of the slowing or the deterioration that normal mortals suffer. Cologne

was one of the few people that Ranma knew that could best him, Happosai

was another, though the gap was narrowing. Colognes more advanced

techniques, cunning and experience usually won out over Ranma's natural

ability, and the techniques he'd learned thus far.

Cologne moved into attack with the Roasting Chestnut attack, Ranma

revised the technique to counter forming a shield with his forearms

deflecting Colognes punches. The blocking technique required a lot more

effort and speed due to the laws of physics and the distance from the

body (The laws of nature aren't broken in Ranma merely bent.) several of

the hits got though making Ranma take a few steps back. Deciding to

catch Cologne by surprise Ranma, used yet another variation of the

technique, one suggested by Tofu to attack. Realising that Ranma was up

to something by watching his aura flare, *I really must teach Ranma to

control his aura.* Cologne decided to determine how well Ranma had

learnt to deal with the technique taught to Tofu.

"Splitting Cats Hair"

Ranma smiled.

"Amaguriken Revised - Raging Storm"

Cologne's images circled Ranma, hitting him soundly in the ribs with her

staff to provoke him. Ranma started to strike at the images apparently

not concerned which one cologne was. Ranma having fought Tofu a number

of time's since the technique had been taught new it was useless to try

to sense the aura of someone using the technique as it was split between

the images, and distracting Cologne to break the circle was not likely,

hence the way he would use his new technique. Hundreds of light punches

flew in all directions from Ranma, till he located Cologne then he

turned up the force and volume of his strikes at that point. Legs joined

the fray, at speeds which defied imagination a leg would sweep out

hitting four or five times before returning to support him.

Cologne on the back foot pulled drew Ranma into the Dragon Ascension

Spiral and promptly launched him into the air.

*Son-in-Law improving, didn't think anyone would be able to used legs in

the Amaguriken.*

Back at the store Ryoga turned to find the store keeper was right behind

him.

"Oh it's you, Ryoga wasn't it? Thanks for helping me back there. why

didn't you stay for the lift back?" Ryoga shuddered.

"Ah, um, it's a long story."

"Well welcome to my store there is something here for everyone what is

it that is calling to you?

Realising he was holding the scroll in his hand still, "Um how much for

this?"

"Oh that! That's a legendry scroll that I purchased a long while back I

didn't think you could use emotions that way. It was quite spectacular

the demonstration that he showed me, I think it was something I said or

did... never mind." The shop keeper paused as if remembering something

quite enjoyable.

"The asking price, I'd say would be in the millions of yen." Ryoga's

face plummeted *I thought Nabiki was outrageous in her prices sure this

is valuable but ...* Ryoga's thoughts were interrupted by the

storekeeper continuing, "But you've already helped me once and the

actual use of the scroll to most people is useless they either don't

have the training or the depression required." Pretending to look

closely at Ryoga, "You have the looks of a martial artist, do tell are

you any good, and do you have anything that you get really depressed

over."

Ryoga smirked, "Let me tell you a story..."

**************

Simultaneously at the Dojo the other two martial artists faced off, Tofu

and Shampoo. Shampoo pulled out her bonbori, and the two collided, Tofu

the slower narrowly avoiding being brained by Shampoo's weapons, managed

a glancing blow to a rib, provoking Shampoo to redouble her efforts.

Shampoo Blocked a few incoming punches before flipping backward, and

thrusting a bonbori out at Tofu's chest releasing it at velocity, the

second followed once Shampoo had judged where Tofu was dodging to.

Tofu saw the second projectile and rather than moving out of the way

used it to impart spin, planting one foot, Tofu grabbed the bonbori

using it's momentum, lashed out with a high velocity foot.

Shampoo drew her stomach in, the foot only connected with material, The

fight was interrupted at this point by a body returning from a short

flight.

"Ranma you don't know everything yet, treat your opponent's with

respect." Cologne admonished Ranma.

Tofu showed how much he'd changed over the last months nodding to

Shampoo and when the gesture was returned re-entering the fray.

***************

About this time Eonneh was approaching the Suburb of Nerima his target

was on the move, *Be wondering when bearer gain more life force?* Eonneh

could always sense Ryoga's location but never before so precisely.

Eonneh was sure that this time he would finally meet his bearer.

***************

Ryoga was indeed on the move guided by the storekeeper, who was quietly

talking in the background. Having learned a powerful technique in under

a day didn't even seem to surprise Ryoga for some reason he was feeling

that the store had been set up just to get him the scroll.

"I don't mind giving you the scroll for so little (not that any figure

with 5 zero's is small), you've already done me a favour. And this

should speed things up for me in addition. You know I used to run the

store under the name 'Needful Things' but I thought the change of name

might make a difference."

"Thanks for the training and the scroll." Ryoga mindlessly interjected

not paying any attention to the shop keeper.

"That's fine though one of my colleague's may be a little bit

disagreeable when he finds out I sold it to you, but he's been a bit

quite for a while and this should remind him that there's a world out

here. It's aright though, he owes me enough favours from over the

centuries and I do like things to be interesting." Ryoga totally missed

the references to time frames etc, but then knowing Happosai and Cologne

would diminish the impact of such a statement anyway.

Satan turned to Ryoga and said, well here you are 'The Tendo Dojo'.

Ryoga turned to thank the storekeeper one last time but he had vanished

(Along with the shop that had only been in this plane of existence for a

day or so anyway).

Thinking no more about it not that he ever used his brains overly when

he was in close proximity to Ranma, Ryoga marched straight up to the

door and knocked.

Nabiki answered the door, come in Ryoga, your expected, Ranma's waiting

in the Dojo. *It's about time he took me seriously, wonder if Akane will

be there too.*

Following Nabiki's lead Ranma entered the Dojo, Shampoo dropped the

shredded remains of her bonbori, Tofu spun putting a restraining hand on

Ranma. Both Ranma and Tofu had aura's flaring about them primarily

glowing a crimson red reflecting the dominant emotion - rage.

Ryoga, not missing a step, blindly oblivious that despite their towering

aura's never Ranma nor Tofu had moved a millimetre, nor that their gaze

was quite capable of freezing air with the emotions they contained.

"Ranma I challenge you" then totally breaking character, Ryoga

immediately declared "Shi Shi Houkodan" A ball of sickly green energy,

an extension of Ryoga's life-force channelled into a weapon left Ryoga's

palms and blasted into Ranma. A number weeks earlier the attack would

have knocked Ranma flying if not seriously injure him, but not now and

most particularly not today. Fighting is a matter of will and a persons

will is focused by his emotions, Ryoga thought he was fighting against

his rival, and the mistreatment of Akane, but deep inside Ryoga knew the

truth. Ranma on the other hand saw the person who was responsible for

Akane's death even if Ryoga was not yet aware of it.

Ranma now stepped forward towards Ryoga, clearing the crater of debris

that had been created on impact. Tofu tightened his grip on Ranma's

shoulder, Ranma pulled away from Tofu. "I won't hurt him too much I want

ANSWERS."

At this point even Ryoga got the idea that something was wrong and took

a hesitant step back.

"Ryoga do you know what happened to Akane?" Ranma was now only two

metres from where the lost boy stood. Unfortunately Ryoga heard the

words and didn't take into account the expression on Ranma's face or the

voice in which the question was asked. Assuming that Ranma had done

something to Akane his depression increased rapidly

"Ranma for that you shall die." Several Shi Shi Houkodans were launched

at Ranma destroying much of the dojo in the process, seeing that they

weren't having much effect on Ranma. His depression level dropped to a

critical level, a massive ball of chi erupted from Ryoga Tofu seeing

Nabiki was within his estimated blast dove in front of her. All tree

went flying through the are as the Dojo and a large portion of the house

was levelled.

Soun roused for the first time since his daughters deaths, moved to

investigate, he didn't have far to walk as his room was now missing a

wall.

Eonneh chose this moment to arrive on scene...
