It's over.  All the fighting has ended...



End Game

  The others are together celebrating.  They eat, they drink,

and they are joyous.  I am alone.  I don't go to them, and I

can't.  I don't belong in there, with those people.  I belong in

the cockpit of my dear departed mobile suit.



  As I wander the streets, searching for that which I can

never hope to find, I stop, to view the sunset.  The sun goes

below the horizon in a flurry of colour and light, but I continue

to dwell on much darker thoughts...  By the time I reach my

hotel room, darkness has settled in.  The loss of daylight has

caused a visible change in the moods of the people around me.

I fight off the urge to smirk.



  In my room, I sit on my bed and think.  I contemplate my life

and the events that compose it.  I have so many questions and

no answers:  Why did it all have to end?  What do I do now?



  What am I?



  There is nothing that can give me the answers I seek!  I could

try to sleep, but it would do no good...  In the morning, my mind

would continue to stalk my soul once more!  I must end this

feeling!



  I reach over and open my bag.  I pull out my only friend left,

and lift it to my head.  As the time passes, I hear a symphony, the

song of my life, playing in my head.  The melancholy music grows

louder and louder, until finally it ends, with a bang.  And I fall

upon the bed, and watch the world grow black.
