No other fanfic concerning the Neko-ken has affected me like this one.

I was rocked by the the prayer. For such a yound mind to by so scarred...

It gives a horrible new insight as to what must be going thru Ranma's mind

whenever he sees a cat.

Indeed...

Once again, Ranma tried to push the memories from his mind. This enemy

- for there was, really, no other way to describe it - was the only

thing that had beaten him without his attaining revenge.

In reality, only one cat stood in front of him, meowing genuine

affection. His rational mind knew the feline's feelings; Shampoo had

confessed to him over and over again in human form.

But his mind's eye sensed cats in every direction, blotting out all

light. Small cats. Large cats. Short and long tailed, short and long

furred. Probably every natural color of fur, if he could but see.

Thanks to his father, though, only two senses registered: his own odor

of fish reeked in his nose, and his heightened sense of touch fuly

registered every lick, nibble, claw, and bite that descended upon him

while he struggled futilely against the rope of sasuages.

And again, the same thought struck him, the only one which offered him

an escape from the pain: he was becoming part of them, the flesh off

his bones residing in their stomachs, so why not let his mind join with

theirs?

As always, the relief was too much to resist, and human thought vanished

into the terrified recesses of his subconscious...

"So, let me get this straight? You sent him into the Neko-ken, and

while he thought he was a cat, you pretended to be in heat?"

"Shampoo no need pretend. Shampoo always hot for airen. By now,

Shampoo sure Shampoo pregnant with airen's child. So, Shampoo win

airen's hand. Shampoo know airen choose Shampoo out of duty now, no

matter what."

Shampoo had never seen Akane that angry, but she knew the Tendo was no

murderer. Kodachi would have no qualms, and she had her doubts about

Ukyo, but it was safe and fun to boast to Aka-

Akane's aura vanished as Shampoo's eyes rolled up in their sockets.

A few dramatic seconds passed, then Shampoo slowly dropped to her

knees, then onto the floor, her back making a slight "schup" when it

slid off the knife through her heart.

Never before in her life had she felt nearly as angry as the sheer

menace she now saw radiating from her eldest sister's face.

"Tell Happosai it's time for him to pay a little rent. He is the only

one of us unclean enough to dispose of this filth."

"Ka...Kasumi?!?"

The domestic Tendo slowly twirled her meat carving blade to keep any of

the blood from dripping to the floor before she made it to the sink,

where she thoroughly scrubbed the instrument clean. "Do it, before she

bleeds too much. He's going to want her warm, if he is to properly

defile her."

Another thump announced Akane's prompt faint.

Kasumi looked back, then set down the knife, muttering, "If you want

something done right," then walking off to the master bedroom.

As it turned out, Happosai was too scared to do anything but bury the

body, after which he decided to personally escort Cologne and Mousse

back to China, then take a nice, long vacation.

Nothing meant against Shampoo here. The scene just suggested itself.
