Hi everyone. I'm in the process of setting up an alternative using some services from Bravenet (http://www.bravenet.com)
It'll be a combination of mailing list and discussion forum. This way, fanfic and c&c can be sent to the list while any off topic stuff, or general commentary can be posted to the discussion
forum.
Hopefully, I'll have it up by later today or sometime tomorrow. The url for it would be: http://the_packrat.tripod.com/ffml

For those of you that are interested, here're Bravenet's Terms of Service:

The Rules and Regulations:
Bravenet is in no way responsible for the content of any Web Services. You are not allowed to associate any Web Services with pornography, XXX material, anything illegal, bigotry,

We can remove any Web Service from the database, without prior notice, if we find the contents unsuitable for the public. We can remove a Member's Services if there is no evident
activity for 90 days. And we can deny
membership if we see the need.
