(1) - Danna - a old-fashioned term for 'husband' - or in this case, what a
geisha calls her main backer (If anyone has a better definition for this,
please, share it. ^_^)

You'll see why you need the definition later. =)

Actually younger people often refer to husbands as "danna-san" in modern
Japanese.  Older people will still use "goshujin" however...
