Thanks again for helping us out. Well-thought-out commentary is always a
welcome surprise. :)
I haven't actually read up to this point, so I would be
interested in a quick summary (or a volume or chapter so I can look it
up) if you could spare the time.
I have a stack of summaries collected from the Megami ML, but I'm in the
office right now. In the meantime, I can point you to a website that has
scripts of the manga. http://nekomikodai.otakalypse.com/manga/manga.html
Keiichi's parents show up in vols 23 and 24. When I can, I'll send the
summaries plus a few pictures of them.
Yup, I'm quite familiar with Nekomi Kodai. Ed's site is one of the many
pages I host, and Bart knows him personally. You can say we get them
from the horse's mouth. :)
Actually, as it was in Mirror, the racing is just a subplot. The main
plot will become more evident as the story goes on.
I knew that. I was just wondering if someday, an author would write a fic
where Keiichi and co. are involved in a race. AMG is about motor racing as
much as magic.
With what little AMG fan fiction there is, I can't really think of any
that *do* contain much of the mechanically themed elements to any real
depth other than perhaps Cevn McGuire's _Trial By Tenderness_.
Regardless, we decided early on that with keeping in genre, some manner of
Motor Club activity would be included.
We threw in the office chair as well as a number of other things as
rejected ideas, not really meant to be viable.
But that little bit broadened your horizons didn't it?
I'm not positive on how well it would handle in the obstacle course
portion in the final race, but in any case, the other contenders will have
to be driving other "nonstandard vehicles" as well. The chair could perhaps
be included there.
and we needed a reason for Belldandy to be alone with Urd to advance the
plot.
Let's say Keiichi is going out to buy motor parts. Will that do?
I'll have to go back and reread through that section of the chapter and
verify we didn't have any other prevailing reasons why we did it this way
(it's been a little while, and I don't remember offhand).
Having met just minutes ago at their spot by the fountain, Keiichi walked
beside Belldandy
and
Walking home, Keiichi had noted, was actually the most peaceful time of
theday.
Are you saying that Keiichi met Belldandy at the fountain in the campus,
then WALKED back to the temple?
If I recall, they had both departed their last classes of the day, met up
at that water fountain, and walked home together.
Again, thank you for your comments, and we're all ears if anyone has
anything to add.
As I asked before, are you going to have the High Lord of Hell show up or
mentioned? There are some things you need to know about HER before you do
so.
Sorry, I missed this the first time. No, we don't have any plans for Hild
currently.
