a) the only other time I've used multiple marriage
was
in Martial Artists and Mayhem, and there it is in
connection with the fact that Tenchi, Ryoko and
Ayeka
are married to each other as per an OAV Jurai
marriage...on their face multiple marriage fics
are
silly and unlikely...even the Amazon ones...
b) I know the doublet system is a total link, I
know
NOBODY knows who's who...but I've seen the
"mortals
and infighting" don't count several times
before...and
I'm fairly certain that Urd and Mara aren't
linked...but...I've seen that too...
c) I'm well aware that despite being
rather...loose,
that Urd has never shown any interest in women.
d) I REALLY doubt the whole multiple wives thing
with
the Amazons the only thing that points to it is
Lin
Lin and Ran Ran from the ANIME which isn't as much
Takahashi as I expect it to be, and even they were
told "Ranma is already taken."
e) I doubt that the Ranma girls are all bisexual
or
willing to share...but for these multiple marriage
fics that assumption has to be made...another
reason
they're silly on their face
anyway...try to avoid thinking about this too
seriously and just look at it as the joke it was
meant to be...
Actually, our arguments are over the cliches and
urban
myths themselves, not your use of them. Fanfics have
a
way of creating their own canon, and you've done a
really good job of putting together all those points
of pseudo-canon. Since you made it clear in the
beginning that this wasn't a serious fic, I don't
think any of us are taking issue with you or it
specifically.
Besides, isn't this better than if we'd all just
ignored the fic in the first place? I've had so much
fun shouting from my soap box with this fic that I
haven't even read that other AMG fic (can't even
remember the title now, either - my apologies to the
author, whoever you are) recently posted to the
list.
Well, maybe just a little better? ^_-
