The song is great, and was particularly popular after Sept 11th if I remember 
correctly.

Maybe I am wrong, but it did not seem to me that Ranma actually was a son of 
Krypton in this story, he was just Ranma doing a job he thought needed to be 
done.

A longer story could very well be written from this, but I don't think it 
would go the way you think it would.

Anyways, kudos to the author!

And the characters belong to Rumiko Takahashi and DC Comics.

Except for the ones that belong to Naoko Takeuchi(sp?).  All those
unhappy senshi running around, feeling abused from their lack of
representation.  ^_^;

I don't particularly like DC or songfics, but this wasn't too bad.
You should try writing a real version of the story--how Ranma becomes
Superman, how he gets cursed despite his ability to fly, what is
different in this universe from the original Ranmaverse, and how he
relates to the senshi and, in particular, to Mercury.  As it is now,
well, it's just a songfic.  They don't stand out that much and usually
aren't very memorable, at least in the limited amount of experience
reading songfics that I've had, since I usually avoid the things.
Curses upon my tendency to not read the notes at the beginning of
fics, too, because if not for that, I would have avoided this as well.
But it didn't turn out horribly after all, so no big deal.  :)

So... the concept sounds like it could be interesting.  Write it.  At
worst, nobody will like it, and you can move on to something else if
you don't feel this idea is worth bothering with.  On the other hand,
somebody might like it after all.  :)
