Two years, and she's already a detective?
Ooops...need to change that...this is still a side
story and not really a part of the "The New Saotomes"
series, but it leads into it....and I still have Ayeka
and Ran-Ran's side stories to do...but anyway...that
should be FIVE years....and from what I can
tell...detective is the lowest rank they got...Mihoshi
is a detective really
Hmm. I don't think that detective is the lowest rank in *most* police
systems. Perhaps the GP is strange :)
Depending on what continuity you've based your story on, Mihoshi is
either:
A) A complete ditz whose lack of competence indicate that she must
surely have gotten into the GP on the strength of her looks or due to
nepotism or somesuch, or
B) A complete ditz whose great memory, great observation skills, and
great luck *just barely* make up for her clumsyness and airheadedness to
produce someone who's simultaneously a competent police officer (good
enough to get into GP on her own) and walking disaster area.
I prefer the latter kind of Mihoshi, since it makes her a much more
interesting character -- and if that's the version you're using, then
she's surely competent enough to be a few levels above the lowest rank
in the GP... which in turn indicates that Detective (her rank) is not
the lowest.
