Opps... my bad... I accidentally sent that off before finishing......
please ignore the first posting..

Not like Tendo Akane 'hated' the male gender, obviously. Shampoo had
no doubts why they were there, and to do what - her Amazon education
had been nothing if not frank and straightforward on that subject. Nor
was she a lesbian. Many Amazons had leanings in that direction,
particularly those in the Sisterhood of Arms, or the Sisterhood of
Shields, or any of the other 'secret' mini-cults that influenced
Amazon affairs at any one time. Shampoo just hated men.

***Huh? I gotta read an earlier chapter of this. Besides that... if you
had to put up with getting paid a lot less, basically being told that a
"career" for you is being a translator or a office lady and being groped on
the train by dirty old men... you'd hate men too. But I don't think it's
as many people paint Akane in fanfics...

***The Kasumi types only get worse as they get older. They have no interest
in fun... you don't own your own paycheck. She owns that and your savings
and will tell you how it will be spent. Despite you earing $60k a year,
you only get $400 of it a month to yourself...for all incidentals,
parties, etc.

Tha Nabiki types end up leaving you unfulfilled as they are totally
absorbed with their career. Usually...these women only think they have a
"career," but what they are really are low level office workers and
office ladies who work for 3 or 4 years at one company, get tired of that
work, quit and go to another, or change fields to something like IT or
translation (after some study abroad). They have no real concept of a
"career" like what men do in Japan and no real direction in their lives
(actually that many Japanese women).

Kodachi is just another type of Kasumi...obsessive and controlling. Just
with a better body.

"It's flat, it's round, it's got crust," Pearl picked up a lukewarm
half-pie and examined it, "Well, its kind of got crust. And it's
small. But it's a pizza."

***Okonomiyaki is NOT pizza by any stretch of the imagination. You CANNOT
eat
it with your hands. Can you really eat pancakes with your hands? The
batter has everything mixed in it, not dropped on top as a topping... unless
you are making it Hiroshima-style (which also includes Yakisoba...like Chow
mein). To top things off... the Japanese would look at you like you are an
idiot, because they know what pizza is... there is Domino's, Pizza Hut and a
few Japanese brands in the country.

"Right, fine. Okonomiyaki, all right? I'll use the proper terminology
- you'll never hear pizza from me again," Adams sighed, and took a big
bite as he walked over to check on Yosho, "You know, the stuff from
that other place was better."

***Oh... my bad. You are a true believer...
***However...what did this little aside have to do with the story? It seems
to be more of you making a point about Okonomiyaki using your story as the
vehicle, rather than it being an integral part, or even comedic relief.
What you do with it is your own decision as the author, but...I might
shorten it up or something...

Somewhere in the wilds of Japan:

"Saotome! Those were MY raisins, you damn thief!"

"What? You expect me to eat the food Akane packed!? Even vultures
wouldn't touch that stuff!"

"That's it! The last straw!! DIIIEEEE!!!!!!"

***Ha!! As if they could go that time...alone to boot... without
fighting... or maybe not as it turns out to be only rock paper, scissors

"I've always heard that gaping stomach wounds are the most painful...
horrible... way to die," with a soft laugh, Sumac drew back and pulled
the blade out of the beaten and bleeding Phoenix Warrior's gut, "Do me
a favor. When you get to hell, tell 'em Sumac sent you, ok?"

***That's almost classic...

All in all a good chatper!
