I would suggest that instead of the stranger asking something right away
in whatever her native language is, she blurt out "Tendo!?" or somesuch,
and widen her eyes in surprise.
Why would Shampoo (yup, it's her) know or recognise that name?

I wonder how the stranger will react to Akane leading her to the late
Mrs. Tendo's shrine.
It might have helped explain why her Grandmother's last attempts at
reconciliation with her Aunt was met with no answer at all....
