Actually, this is more Noir then Thelma and Louis, but since I've never seen
T&L, I could be wrong.  Unfortunately, the idea is quite interesting,
however, the execution would be difficult to pull off, especially to keep it
convincing.

I would believe, that the location of Kaji's death would be somewhere in the
Geofront, in Nerv headquarters, from what I have read.  If you've never seen
Death & Rebirth, well, but the entire Geofront is pretty much monitored.  In
the movie, the Magi did a search and found Shinji hiding underneath a
staircase, while UN troops are storming the building.  Not only was he found
in Infra-Red, but also with surveilance cameras as well.  With that level of
security, and the death of such influential wildcard, Gendo would probably
be personally monitoring the execution.  And with Rei's appearance, well,
he'd intervene rather quickly.  Probably by locking the section down.

But that's just me, and it has been a while since I last watched D&R, so I
could be mistaken.

Evangelion meets Thelma and Louise. I like this very much. I'm not sure
about Rei handling a gun, but if she has enough of the memories and

emotion

she picked up from her second incarnation, and a real desire to learn the
truth/stop 3rd Impact, I suppose it could be done.

I would definitely like to see this continued, if only to see where you

take

it.
