A quick reminder, courtesy of the list FAQ: 

* WHAT IS SPAM?

  * Not allowed, may result in immediate temporary postbanning:

    "Merry Christmas" posts, or similiar holiday-related spam (this 
    does not include holiday-themed fanfics)


In other words, the recent Xmas-card posts should not be appearing on
the list. While we can appreciate the sentiments behind them, the
unfortunate truth is that we've got so many subscribers that if we all
started posting holiday greetings to each other, there wouldn't be room
for much else on the list.

Seeing as how the list has been so well-behaved lately that I'm feeling
a bit like the Maytag repairman, I'll let the two people who've already
posted cards off with a warning. Any further posters of holiday greeting
cards will not be so fortunate.
