Hmm... There's one part of the original novel that needs to be addressed.
The various manserveants on the Musketeers.  (Or in this case,
maidservants.)

Those were some of the most facinating characters, often acting as perfect
foils for the swordsmen, find ways to keep their masters solvent, and
occaisionally interjecting a much needed dose of common sense (or trying to
anyway).

Who would you cast in those roles?
