Well.... this is my first time posting to the FFML, so bear with me.

I had this idea of a Ranma fic that is really serious in nature, and it
involves.... politics.

So if you can't stand even the concept of politics, stop reading this.

My thought was this, what if the going's on in Nerima was used as a basis
for calls for major political and social reform? What if the mayhem in
Nerima was declared to be sign of the future of Japan's ills?(I know that
kind of sounds farfetched, but trust me, the stuff below will even sound
more farfetched than this)

I do know that realism was not a focus of Ranma 1/2(ie that no higher
authority steps in to resolve things), that it's focus was more on comedy,
weirdness, and relationships. It would be in my opinion impossible for any
of the events of Ranma 1/2 to occur in Japan's current political, social,
and economic climate. If it did, it would have taken a conspiracy to ensure
the status quo of Nerima(ie keep things chaotic).

And that's the basis of the setup here.... it's various conspiracies and
much corruption that kept anyone from doing anything to resolve anything.
When it all begins, originally it was just the Kunos using their wealth and
status to influence law enforcement, the school system, the media, and to
avoid being committed. Then when Ranma comes in, property damage follows.
The increasing property damage would become a gold mine for those in
construction and repair, and they would ensure that gold mine would last as
long as possible via bribery of numerous people. In fact, communication is
actually monitored to ensure the events in Nerima are only considered mere
rumors.

Needless to say, conspiracies can only go so far in ensuring the status quo,
and silencing those with integrety.

And that's where the story begins, as something happens which results in the
'truth' about Nerima coming to light...

How would Ranma and co cope, as their private problems become national
issues, as their lives and actions are scrutinized by the public? Will
things return to normal, or will they end up as figures of history as the
fallout from the conspiracy threatens the nation?

Like I said it's really farfetched.
