Very nice, and I'm curious to see what happens next. However, there's
one thing that caught my attention....
Near the end, Washuu mentions Samus has undergone full body cyborg
conversion. This probably means her whole body, except for the brain, is
entirely artificial - her brain would age, but she'd still be fit as a
fiddle, and would probably have the same appearance as she had when she
got the enhancements.
I see two ways to still keep Samus Aran out of the action: you can say
her reflexes have been slowed down by age (after all, her brain's still
organic) and can't keep up with the suit anymore, or you can make her
enhancements only partial - perhaps some muscle replacement and
structural enhancing, but nothing so extensive that would prevent Samus
from aging.
It also has to be something Washuu can't fix, or else it would be much
more sensible to fix Samus instead of modifying Kyione - after all,
Samus is much more experienced with the suit and has already faced the
villain before (and things much worse than him!).
