Chapter 1: Tying up loose ends

[ ] Telepathic communication
Archanfel greeted him, "Welcome Fukamachi, you have proved my initial
suspicions correct. You indeed possess a greater potential then Makashima
and you have realized it."
Sho who was suspiciously scanning his surroundings bitterly riposted. "Your
generals are dead by my hands, because not only would you not leave me alone
but you turned all those who were close to me into weapons to destroy me
leaving me only with revenge."
Archanfel raised an eyebrow but otherwise showed no emotional response "You
can blame me for their deaths if you want but know that I did not directly
authorize any of it. My goal was to complete the mission left to me by the
Advent to raise a powerful army for them. I asked you here because I
realized as I sensed your greater discipline and control over your unit it
would come down to this. Agito has reached the maximum potential he is
really capable of, only you have the capability to challenge me. This
planet can only have one super-being so here are my terms, we will settle
this in a final one-on-one duel if I lose Chronos's zoaforms will be
destroyed and my crystal will be yours. If however, you lose your control
medal will be mine and I will complete the mission set out for me by the
Advent. Do you accept?"
It was Sho's turn to raise an eyebrow "You and I both know there is no
choice to it, there can be only one. Before we finish this I'd like to ask
you some questions." Archanfel nodded his consent. "What is the real
reason the Advent left?"
Archanfel actually showed surprise though he was quick to recover. "I must
admit I did not expect you to catch on to the fact there leaving had almost
nothing to do with the Guyver. Sure there was that one incident, but they
knew they just needed to train hosts better before bonding them to a unit.
It's classified even in most of their official records but I eventually
found out. The Advent apparently weren't the only major power in the
universe there was at least one other major empire who was their Arch-Rival.
This empire called itself the Radam..."
"So was there a Radam raiding fleet coming in to steal the product of the
Advent's long research?"
"That is mostly correct, this planet was one of the Advent's secret
bio-research facilities. The Radam apparently were trying to raid the
Advent's research but they were ready for them. Apparently the Radam had
pulled this stunt before stealing something referred to as 'Tekka-pods'. So
there was an early detection network set up and apparently they launched all
their available equipment and personnel to intercept. Us research related
developments were left behind less one be captured in the ensuing battle."
"So what happened?"
"Well the two fleets met somewhere around Saturn. Other then the fact that
no Advent ship returned and there is a dormant Radam ship somewhere in
Saturn's rings, I can only speculate as they had already put me under when
the battle occurred and no one else on this planet was capable of monitoring
what happened there at that time."
"Hmmm. One more question, the other Zoacrystals have been destroyed does
that mean that you now possess their combined powers once more?"
Archanfel nodded, "Do not worry Fukamachi this will be a honest fight."
On an unspoken signal they both transformed. Sho no longer needed to say
anything in order to transform, being in Guyver form seemed almost more
natural than his human form these days. Summoning the Gigantes he began
cycling it up. The mastery of self and unit he had developed in the years
leading up to this made him a true power to be reckoned with. Both figures
in gold bio-armor surrounding by gold auras of power launched themselves at
each other. Blows and counter went back and forth almost faster then the
eye could follow, by a unspoken agreement neither intended to pull out the
high energy attacks massive casualties and collateral damage would benefit
neither. They continued like this for several hours neither letting up
enough on the other to really allow energy attacks to be employed.
Archanfel was the first make a mistake over extending himself in a blow, Sho
was quick to take advantage and Archanfel found himself flat on the ground
the tip of a VibroBlade just over his neck. Both combatants showed
extensive injuries and obviously weary from fighting at such an enhanced
level for such an extended period of time.
"Why do you hesitate Fukamachi? Was it not your goal to kill me, is not
that what has driven you over these years?"
"You lost Archanfel. By your own conditions you have to give me your
zoacrystal."
"Yes, just put me out of my suffering like a warrior." Archanfel ripped out
his own Zoacrystal and Sho cut his head off so he didn't have to die a
painful death. Picking up the crystal he gazed into it's yellow depths
*This seems wrong. Archanfel wasn't my true enemy but who is?*
The crystal suddenly absorbed itself into his hand, visible electric
currents ran around him driving him to his knees and forcing him to release
the Gigantes. As the current died out he fell on his side, the last of hid
reserves completely drained. Almost in answer to his previous query Agito
appeared with the Gigantes and transported them to the middle of Antarctica.
<claps> "Bravo Fukamachi, a wonderful performance but what's this you're to
tired to even get up to greet me? Why that's just to bad. I must thank
you, without your help I never would have been able to eliminate the
obstacle Archanfel presented and to have worn yourself out doing so... You
save me the bother of finding some way to wear you down so the threat you
present to my ambitions of world domination could be eliminated."
"Curse you traitorous scum."
"Traitor? Were you really so naive that you didn't realize that the whole
time I've used both you and your loved ones as my pawns. It was I who had
it arranged do that the Segawas would fall into Chronos's hands. I knew
they would use them against you and you in turn would seek revenge against
Chronos. Oh but with both them and your father and the others gone your
revenge would become an almost blind drive. I had intended to just use you
to wear Archanfel down so I could finish him off but you showed more
capability then I had imagined. So I pondered how to deal with you once you
had outlived your usefulness to me, this is what I came up with."
Sho just glared at Gigantic Dark to tired to really do anything else.
"Do you think you'll be able to do anything about it? You have practically
no bio-energy left and this frozen wasteland will not afford you either help
or sustenance it will also slow down you healing but if there is one this
I've learned it's not to take chances so I think I'll rough you up some
more."
Beat down scene removed in interests of readers.
Gigantic Dark walked away laughing maniacally as he walked away from Guyver
1's mangled body. As he faded from view another figure pierced the blizzard
that was now falling.
Sho's vision faded in and out, only the great control he had developed over
the years kept him active. He sensed someone's approach but his single
remaining sensor was damaged and not giving him a lot of information. Only
the fact that whoever was approaching was very powerful and not trying to
hide it allowed him to even pick them up at all. *Could it be Agito? No it
doesn't feel anything like him, it's something else. Almost feels like a
divine creature, an Angel?!!*
[I don't know whether I should take that as a complement or not.]
Even if he hadn't been so low on bio-energy that he did really couldn't have
raised his head as he was to extensively damaged to get up or really move.
*How can you hear my thoughts? Are you Lady Death finally allowing me to
die?*
The unknown entity seemed to stop at that. [Sho you are a tragic hero. You
tried to protect your friends and eventually to save the world only to find
the true enemy was a person you had relied upon and now not only will the
world never know what you did for it but all your struggles turn out to be
for naught. Because of the determination and purity of spirit you have
displayed both in your values and conduct you have been judged worthy of a
wish.]
This kind of thing was startling enough that Sho's control slipped and so he
slipped into oblivion.
Urd gazed into the now cracked and damaged faceplate, she knew he wouldn't
be able to answer her and just generally interfering wouldn't be accepted.
Developing a smirk she decided to not only do what she thought would be in
Sho's best interests but a source of amusement for herself.
Sending along an intricate and far reaching wish her Goddess marks glowed
and a column of light came down.
"Your wish has been approved."
The smirk now spelled trouble for certain individuals. The fact that Urd
was rubbing her hands in relish and letting off the occasional evil laugh
didn't detract from the mood.
Deciding that a certain scumbag deserved immediate attention Urd cast a
rather powerful and intricate spell.
--Somewhere else--
Agito reveled in his victory with the Zoalords dead and Fukamachi out of the
equation no one could challenge his power. Seems as how he could not give
himself the power to control zoanoids, he was thinking of phasing them out
as his enforcers. Yes, those cyberdroids being developed by that Dr.
Stingray fellow would be a better alternative. His subsequent peal of
maniacal laughter was cut off suddenly as he disappeared in a cloud of
infernal flame and brimstone. Most of the subordinates did not know what to
make of this but a individual named Quincy was quick to create a sense of
control and order thus setting himself up as Agito's successor.
-Hell, Level where the really evil scum go to-
The managing Demon First Class looked over as a new member appeared in a
cloud of smoke.
"BIO-BOOST." Nothing happened.
"GUYVER" Nope.
"Umm Bio-boost, please." No.
The Demon First Class pointedly ignored the crazy guy who was yelling all
that crazy stuff. The fellow's torturer had just arrived and would take
care of him. That this particular torturer was considered sadistic even by
demon and Drow standards, which just meant the guy would join in the
screaming all that much sooner.
The fellow noticed his torturer approaching. "Please, Please, Pretty Please
bio-boost" Sorry. Noticing the whip his pleading reached a new crescendo
but they quickly were replaced by screams of pain and agony.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
-Antarctica-
"Do not pass go, do not collect two-hundred dollars. Just go directly to
Hell." The smirk remained but now there wasn't really anyone it was
directed at. A few incantations later and all information having to do with
how to develop zoaforms ceased to exist. Another few and the other two
units were summoned to her in their inactive form, as well as the Gigantes
cocoon itself appearing.
Looking at the still form of Guyver 1 Urd asked herself *Okay my
preparations are in order but where are we going to send him. Wait why did
I just say we?*
Almost in answer to her query Skuld walked up, "You didn't think you were
just going to leave me out of this did you?"
"Skuld?!! What are you doing here? I thought you were still bugging Keichi
and Belldandy?"
"Well then you thought wrong, you old hag."
"Old hag?!! I'll teach you"
Energy blasts and a general brawl ensue. Sho's temporarily return to
consciousness before fading back to oblivion broke them as a reminder of
what they were supposed to be doing in the first place.
"So do you have a suggestion where we send him then, Skuld?"
Making a gesture. "How about here."
"But that world's even more screwed up then this one."
"Hey, they have advanced medical care." pointing "We could use a spell to
temporarily reduce his age and have her as his foster mother. Plus, he
could develop his technological skills with her help. So we would just wipe
his memory leaving only what's necessary for him to remember the skills he
now possesses and his capabilities when necessary. Not to mention that
world could use a person like him."
"You have a point but a what point on that timeline should we enter him?
Don't want it to be to early or it could completely change the course of
that time line. Not that it would be a bad thing but..."
"I think this would be the best point."
"Yes, of course he won't be able to summon the unit for a while."
"That's because he won't be needing it in its active form unless things get
really screwed up. What are we going to do with those other units?"
"How about we just stuff them into this cocoon thing and have him take them
with him. With both of these other units fully operational there exists all
sorts of interesting possibilities."
So the units were stored in the Gigantes Cocoon one hidden in the top the
other in the bottom.
Several incantations later Sho was mindwiped, fixed up just enough that the
armor could be retracted without him dying on them almost immediately, and
he was physically fourteen years of age.
Opening a portal the sisters carried the still seriously injured and
comatose Sho through.
-Other side of Portal-
The two sisters lugged Sho, through a somewhat light rain and positioned him
where their intended target for the post of adoptive mother would notice him
almost immediately.
"You think this is really wise?"
"Don't worry she has a mothering instinct but if it makes you less fidgety
we could set up a small geas to ensure she doesn't just drop him off at the
local hospital."
"No you don't really have to do that... but then again why not."
Looking weirdly at her younger sister, Urd commented. "You choose this
scenario in the first place what's with the sudden bout of cold feet."
Playing with her fingers, "Oh nothing."
"Oh do we have a crush on him hmmm?"
Suddenly blushing deep red and increasing the activity with her fingers
"Well..."
"You're afraid that while he's here he might fall in love with another girl
or perhaps this is all an elaborate set-up so he won't consider you a
child."
As seemingly impossible as it was Skuld's blush deepened even farther. "..."
Laughing so hard she fell on her butt Urd just couldn't contain herself, at
least temporarily getting serious. "Well that Mizuki girl doesn't have
anything on you I'm sure if you tried you could catch his eye."
Skuld was now blushing so hard she was in danger of bursting a blood vessel.
Whatever Urd was going to say next was lost as they faded once more into the
mists.
To be continued...
Author's note: If you haven't already guesses this starts out in a slightly
AU Guyver universe. Sho's need for vengeance proved the drive necessary to
not only make his will superior to Agito's but allow him to master both the
Unit G and the Gigantes. His change in personality is the result of what he
has been through. Before bonding with the master crystal Sho was beginning
to develop psychic abilities which will further develop now that he
possesses it. So many possibilities exist.
