Subject: [FFML] Re: [C&C][Ranma][fanfic] Ten - Chapter 14
I could buy most of that, except for the part about it being just
in
Ryoga's mind, due to the following bit:
The ladder toppled forward, its once-sturdy metal crumpling under the
sheer
weight of the sonic onslaught. Ryoga cried out as his support gave way,
his body tumbling to the floor below
Unless Ryoga was imagining that the ladder was damaged, that is.
That
brings up an additional point: what happens the next time someone walks
into
Section A and notices that the ladder is damaged? In a secure zone like
that, it's darn near gauranteed that someone will make an inquiry, and
once that
happens, Ryoga and Yoiko are in *big* trouble, unless they manage to cover
their tracks with nearly-implausible perfection.
Hah, it's excellent when people notice this kind of thing. Yes, the room is
in a bit of a state after Ryoga's finished playing with Seriatim. No, he
wasn't smart enough to think about the consequences of that (being rather
preoccupied with being freaked out). And yes, such a thing is likely to
raise some sort of alarm when it's noticed. I wasn't going to concentrate
on the ladder in particular, as the whole room is in a bit of a messy state,
but there you go.
Yoiko is pretty good at the covert ops stuff - Ryoga most definitely is not.
:)

R. E.
