Other than your habitual failure to make use of quotation marks,

either single or double, it looks okay.  But then, maybe in the face
of that, I simply didn't notice other problems.

The problem is on your end.  No idea what's causing it, but I've never
seen any of his stories lacking quotation marks or apostrophes.  The
characters are also quite normal where they appear, as well.
