Well, his average might be that *now*, after he's been dead for
several decades...

Besides, as I long ago learned and repeat whenever necessary, it's not
the writing that is great, but the rewriting.  If you wait for the
first draft to be perfect before putting it on paper, you'll be lucky
to write anything at all.
