Is the him here a typo, or an intentional (on your part) mispeak by the
character?

  Plain old typo.

       There's another one, in the last line of that paragraph:  
"...Kadidomaru's is..."  The "is" is redundant with the apostrophe-s on the end of 
"Kaidomaru."
