Three almost overlapping circles, like a Venn diagram
gone horribly wrong.  The center was untouched, a
caltrop-like triangle with concave sides, filled with
grass and stone and what was left of Nerima.  The
rest...flattened, all life snuffed out, everything
down to a quarter meter compressed to a density
somewhat short of a neutron star.

And the two figures in the center realized, as an
impossibly gigantic chi mallet fizzled and winked back
into the nothingness from which it had been summoned,
that everyone they knew - everyone they had ever
loved, cared for, laughed with, hated, scorned,
fought, whatever - besides each other was now gone
forever.

Akane sighed, tears forming as she began to blame
herself.  But Ranma embraced her before they could
roll down her cheek, cuddling Akane's face to the
redhead's shoulder even as Ranma allowed tears of her
own to emerge.  And so they held each other, mourning
their accidental but irrevocable loss.

Once they had both cried out their first wave, Akane
mustered her broken voice.  "Ranma, if I ever again
try to demonstrate what a pervert you are..."
