I'd just like to pitch in agreeing with everything Gary said about this,
and
add one thing:

With the exception of lightning being used to transfer the superpowers,
absolutely NOTHING in this story feels even remotely like it "revolves
around" the Lois & Clark world. It feels a hell of a lot more like you
picked some arbitrary comic continuity--an alt-universe one at that--and
slapped the Tendou family into it. Rather sloppily, at that.

In Arthur Hansen's defense... The universe Arthur Hansen is using for "Lois
& Clark" is actually one of their alternate universes. In the main series,
Elvis isn't President and Perry White isn't mayor of Metropolis, and Jimmy
Olsen doesn't run the Daily Planet. This is a universe Tempus made by
changing some major things in the continuum. The culture is *way* different
than the normal series. For instance, if you were on this world and
watching, oh, say "Back To The Future" on this world, it's be Marty takes a
trip in the time machine with a bunch of guns and blows a bunch of people a
way. It was also supposed to be a world without a Superman, but Lois Lane
from the regular continuum took care of that before she went home. (Oh, and
in this universe, everyone knows Clark Kent is Superman, btw.) That's why
it could be a bit strange and not feel like the series at all... But, I
would suggest maybe adding in a few more details to make it feel like "Lois
& Clark", like maybe involve Superman... I would also mention that it's an
Alternate Lois & Clark Universe straight from the begining so as not to
confuse readers that aren't so familiar with the series. Afterall, the trip
to that universe only happened in one episode. It wasn't even a two-parter.
Maybe you might consider sending Kasumi on a mission with Clark Kent to go
find out what happened to that world's Lois or something. Then maybe it'd
feel a bit more like the series. You know--try having some goal in there
that would be common to the "Lois & Clark" idea. Get a bit more creative
with it, ok? But I'd love to see some L&C action, and it'd be interesting
to see it crossed over with an anime. Just put a little more heart into it,
you know?
