Regardless, it's still nine chapters and a lot of K of him being helpless,
which is far too many. And frankly, from what I've gleaned from the story,
David's comments are all on the mark. From most of the people I've talked to
(though not all) that read RA agree to the point where many have given up on
the story far earlier for some of the criticisms DJ gave. Will everyone
agree with DJ's comments? No. But if enough people are making the same
criticism of a work, there might be some validity to it, and it's at least
worth looking into.

Nah. It's better to killfile them than think for a moment they might be
right. They are probably just 'average readers' anyway, and beneath someone
as great as MS's notice. Forget I said anything.
