Yeah, but that was done for humor's sake. I mean, Kinnosuke was tricking
people with hand puppets, as I recall. yes, you can take it more seriously,
but it's taking it out of context, like the 'Akane hits Ranma and therefore
is psychotic' line of thinking. I have difficutly prescribing to it, as a
general rule. While I do agree with you that Nabby is probably the most
self-centered of the cast, and gets away with it nearly every time, the
context of her actions tends to be with a humorous tilt.

But of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions as well, and i'm not
saying you can't dislike a character (there are certainly some I dislike,
though in other series with a more serious bent), just that it can be an
easy trap to take actions out of context and use them to paint a character
in a bad light.

Well, I certainly appreciate the polite tone of the post, it's very considerate of you, but given that Nabiki has a track record of creating life-treatening situations for her own amusement I can't see anything remotely funny about her character and I'm really starting to get annoyed with the whole 'Nabiki supports her family and is responsible and tragic' myth. She's utterly self-serving and will bring her family to ruin without a second thought, if it would bring her even minimal satisfaction.
