Hmm. Quite frankly, I'm rather against the idea of original fiction in
general being posted to a mailing list for anime fanfiction, but it's not my
call to make.

That having been said...

Most of the original fiction here at least has SOME element which links it
to the thrust of this list. It's set in Japan, or borrows heavily from
Japanese/Chinese mythology, or uses anime cliches, or is written in a
heavily anime-inspired style.

If you can say any of the above about your original work, then you can
probably get away with it.

Otherwise, make a website and post it there.

Heck, do that anyway, just because you should.
