Sacrifice

By: Matthew De Mouy

Disclaimer: I am not Naoko Takeuchi, nor the owner of ADV, nor the owner of Geneon/Pioneer, nor the owner of Toei Animation therefore I have no rights for licensing or selling of Sailor Moon stuff and it doesn't belong to me. I am also not Yoshiki Takaya, nor the owner of either Viz or Manga Corp., nor the owner of the Japanese companies with the publishing rights. So if I've somehow gained the rights to the Guyver series something must be seriously wrong. Nor should the fanfic be seen as an attempt to obtain money, not that anyone would pay to read my stuff anyway.

Epilogue

"What happened then, Puu?"

"Well Small Lady, Sailor Moon, the Sailor Senshi, Endymion, the once more free surviving members of the Shitennou and their followers, Beryl, and Aptom prepared for the coming attack. Sailor Moon with the help of her friends, Endymion, the Shitennou, and Beryl was able to vanquish Archanfel and a couple of his Zoalords. The death of Archanfel shocked his followers into inaction and Aptom was able to grab several of them. The remainder fled and some of the died to fighting among themselves before the rest were defeated. The power of the Ginzuishou was able to bring back Nephrite and the rest is another story."

"What were they trying to do?"

"Archanfel had wanted to raise an army of zoanoids from humanity that could defend this world. However he wasn't the best judge of character and had surrounded himself with several men who craved only power for themselves and had no loyalty to him or his idea. Sho knew this and when he opted to help Sailor Moon he made a choice that the Ginzuishou and not Archanfel would be the one to protect this world. It was his choice that decided the fate of the future."

"What happened to Sho, Puu?"

"Sho cannot be brought back. He knew this would be the case before he left and decided it was the only way. He willingly sacrificed himself to give them to chance to suceed."

"Was Sho special to you Pluto?"

"He was a good friend. He ended up here in the fourth dimension when he apparently accidentally jumped through hyperspace without proper coordinates. One of the surprising things was he was able to navigate in the fourth dimension without a key. I challenged him thinking he intended to travel through time. He didn't really believe someone could change the past by time travel. He had a crazy theory he said let one have the effects of time travel without actually travelling through time. He ended up setting up a little camp in another part of the fourth dimension and we'd visit each other every so often and just talk."

"What about Makoto, Puu?"

"She was his friend as well. She had a friendliness and good natured air that drew him to her and seemed to help him deal with surviving. She's a good person and I'm glad she was able to provide some comfort to him."

"But weren't you jealous, Puu?"

"The closest anyone could get to Sho at that point was to be a friend he felt he could begin to open up to. I don't begrudge his spending time with her, because I saw it helped him manage to keep going in ways I could not. In a way he came to rely on her strength, her internal strength that is."

"But what about."

"Let just say a biological weapon of the type Sho was has no use for a need or desire to procreate nor the system by which that is possible and leave it at that."

"What about Makashima, Pluto? Was he like Sho?"

"From what we know not really. Sho's extensive use of his unit caused him to become like that. Makashima rarely used his unit and so was suffering none of the ill effects Sho was or capable of using his unit the way Sho was."

"Was Sho's crystal that one that."

"No Small Lady. The one the Ancient Greeks found was a relic of one of the survivors of Earth for right after the fall of the Silver Millenium and had a history of what happened among other things. It was found and destroyed soon after but the stories from it became legend. Editted of course to remove crazy ideas like people living on other planets."

"What was Sho's crazy theory Pluto?"

"Well he thought that our space-time continuum wasn't the only one. Think of a stack of funny papers, what if each character on the funny papers thought his page was the entirety of the universe? After all they could go around the page and it's closed it, but their page is just one of a larger stack. Of course, a finite stack of funny papers has a finite number of pages as the pages are defined in the third dimension. A Space-time continuum is only defined in four dimensions though, and by all right all the ones above it should be free. So he thought you could have infinite space-time continuums in a finite universe.

He also thought that you couldn't really time travel unless you were causing the past. Instead in order to prevent a paradox as if tried to change something and suceeded there wouldn't have been a reason for you to go back and thus you couldn't have changed time, he thought you'd be sent to another space time continuum. It would be pretty much identical to the one you were in before except the time it started would be after the one you were coming from by the factor of how far you were going back."

"That is crazy, Puu."

"Yes, Small Lady. Do you want to know about anything else?"

"What about the Nijizuishou, Puu? Were they really Mommy's Ginzuishou broken into seven parts?"

"Not exactly. A star seed can't be broken down like that. The seven Nijizuishou were more of necessary to summon the Ginzuishou into existence and to weaken the Seven Great Youma so her daughter would be more likely to manage to survive."

"Can I see the crystal he left behind, Puu?"

"Okay, here it is Small Lady."

Pluto showed her a crystal. A little hologram appeared.

"If you're watching this I'm probably already gone. I saw no other way your survival was guaranteed and this seemed to be in the end the best choice. I'm sorry for the pain I may have caused you by my actions. This memory crystal contains a full record of all my memories including the data logs of the Advent ships. I have entrusted this to Pluto so that this information is not lost to history. I'm sorry there wasn't another way, goodbye."

The hologram disintegrated into nothingness.

"Well Small Lady I think it's time you were getting back and went to bed."

The daughter of Neo-Queen Serenity scampered off.

"Pluto, how did you like that last batch of cookies?"

"They were good. Small Lady also seemed to enjoy them."

"I'm glad."

Author's Notes: No Pluto didn't just relay the story as written to Small Lady, she of course properly edited it. The previous chapters are intended as what happened.

Where I left Agito he's in the same position as Schrodinger's Cat he might be dead he might not be. If I do do a sequel it'll probably end up revolving around him and his attempts to gain power.

Okay the Battle with Archanfel went as follows if you want more details then provided above. When Archanfel and the Overlords show up they're met by Princess Serenity, supported by the Senshi, flanked by Endymion, supported by the Shitennou including a ethereal Nephrite, whose is flanked by Beryl. The resulting blast from the Ginzuishou kills Archanfel and a pair of Zoalords that were hovering close to them. The rest of the Overlords who were expecting little resistance and certainly not for Archanfel to be just taken out like that are shocked into inaction. Aptom grabs a good portion of them and eats them. This forces the survivors into action and they opt to retreat. Those in it for themselves and those loyal to Archanfel of the survivors have it out kill a few of each other in the process and those survivors eventually become snacks for Aptom. The use of the Ginzuishou's power causes Nephrite to be brought back once more reuniting all the Shitennou with their master. Basis for the capability being all the Shitennou being temporarily brought back when the Ginzuishou first showed up in manga. As few of the Zoalords capabilities we do know I'm not going to waste time trying to actually write that particular battle out.

Deleted Scenes:

Sho vs Police:

"You know you fit the description of the person seen in these incidents exactly. Now I want some answers."

"What would you like me to tell you? That I'm fully capable of taking down the entire JSSDF by myself? That your authority doesn't exactly apply to me because you don't possess the force necessary to enforce it? My goal is very much the same as yours. I want to protect people."

"You expect me to believe that? That you're some sort of superhuman that can take on the entire JSSDF? Stop playing with me. Now I want some answers."

"I don't expect you to believe it, you guys never do and you can't do anything about my problems anyway. How about a bet, if I can take out everyone, but you, in this entire station you leave me alone as long as I leave the people you're supposed to protect alone. If I can't take out everyone, leaving you conscious then I stay and answer all your questions to your content."

----------------------------

Sho walked out of the Police station dusting his hands off, gear once more intact. Another detective walked up.

"Hello, nice day isn't it?"

The detective walked into the station to see the entire complement of personnel in the station piled up and unconscious except for one.

"You know Chief, you should really know better when messing with the weird ones."

End scene

Just another crazy scene that really had no place in the fic. The idea was to sort of wrap up all the investigation scenes with them actually getting him into custody once. As we'd already shown Sho was inhumanly strong and not someone to mess with the functions of this scene were very limited. It also required Sho to be actually caught, something it was better to leave as being very difficult to try to do. Maybe one day I'll actually give those two names.

Sho's theory (Long version):

"You know Sho once asked me whether I thought there was only one space time."

"I don't understand, Puu."

"At first neither did I, time was time and the Fourth dimension allowed travel through it. Sho though, he didn't see it that way. He said to consider for a moment a cube. You could view the finite cube as a infinite number of squares, lines, or even points. He asked me if this true why cannot our space time be just one of a infinite number of space times in a finite universe."

"But how's that possible, Puu?"

"I didn't take it seriously at first myself. I pointed out like a sheet of paper our space-time wasn't infinitely thin. His response was rather interesting.

He said his interface had shown him things above and beyond the Fourth Dimension. He brought up a theory that they'd come out with, Superstring allowed for at least a nine dimensional universe. He said a point in a box was going from zero-dimensions to three dimensions. A space-time in the universe would be going from four to nine or greater dimensions a even greater jump. Besides which he thought it egocentric to believe we were the only space-time like civilizations tended to their their planet the center of the universe.

Then we came to time travel."

"What did he have to say about that?"

"It was his opinion it was impossible to go back in time to change the past. If you caused the past then you'd actually travel to the past, but otherwise you'd just transfer to one of the infinite space-times whose time differential with your universe was when you wanted to go and practically identical before intrusion. Thus the universe protects itself against paradox. Something he justified as possible with infinite space-times.

He believed through something like the Fourth dimension it would be possible with a proper artifact for a person on one slice to affect one on another. Like if the Queen were to grant power to the Senshi of another slice via the Ginzuishou, Small Lady. I don't know if his interpretation is accurate and it is taboo for me to find out."

End scene

I felt this was to technical and dragged on to long although it explained the idea very well. So I removed it from the actual Epilogue but kept it in the Deleted Scenes section here.
