Why would she be dismayed or depressed?  She's normally the most
athletic in the class and it doesn't seem to bother her.
   

Well, I'd wager that Sakaki sees a difference between being the
most athletic girl in her class, and perhaps even entire high
school, and being able to overpower and butt-stroke a "grown
male terrorist" into unconsciousness.

Regardless, Sakaki does have problems with her size and physical
attributes, not the least of which is that she doesn't feel "cute"
because of them.  This is just one more instance where her non-
cuteness is reinforced, in her mind at least, so her dismay over
the situation certainly seems natural enough to me.  Of course,
equally as natural is Kaorin's reaction to Sakaki's overpowering
of the guard.
