I feel really sorry for our brothers and sisters in Harry Potter fanfiction.  There are screen captures of page 606 out now of "Half-Blood Prince," where Ms. Rowling proceeds to render virtually every single post-OOTP/post-graduation fanfic out of continuity.
 
Wow.  Just wow.
