Ranma's New Attitude

    The Tendos, Ranma's friends, and the entire NWC was puzzled. Ranma had 
gotten a new attitude. A few days ago he had been the same. Then a day later 
he had showed up with a look in his eyes. A look of age and wisdom, 
knowledge.

    In just a few days he had made peace with Ryoga... by admitting that 
Ryoga was right about -some- things and apologizing to him, and curing his 
Jusenkyo and Hibiki lost curse. He went to his mother and showed her the 
curse. Then told her that he couldn't hide from her any more because a real 
man would tell the truth and accept the consequences. Nodoka had deemed him
manly, and sought Genma's hide. He mad peace with Mousse by offering a cure 
for Jusenkyo and swearing that he was not after Shampoo or The Light could 
consume his soul. Mousse believed him and stopped attacking him. He went to 
Cologne and brought out obscure parts of Amazon law that showed that 
Shampoo's kisses, Death and Life, were invalid and dishonored the tribe. 
Cologne nodded, and canceled Shampoo's pursuit of him. Cologne was happy, 
since Ranma agreed to be an Ally to the Tribe when needed. He demonstrated 
the curse to Kuno and Kodachi and finally got them to see reason. They were 
both sickened by their behavior and stopped bothering him. Last anyone heard 
they were voluntarily checked into an asylum. He told Ukyo he did not love 
her like that, but like a sister and offered adoption into the Saotome 
family. Ukyo cried at first, but finally accepted.

    Now Ranma was off to talk to Doctor Tofu, about what none of them knew, 
but maybe it had something to do with why Doctor Tofu had quite sanely 
proposed to Kasumi a month ago.

    Ranma was on his way to Doctor Tofu's. He knew the man had used what he 
had and been where he had been. He wanted to talk to him about it. Find out 
if there was a way back. He had to know before he chose whether or not to 
marry Akane. He needed to know if there was a way back, because duty 
demanded he go if there was.

    Ranma entered Doctor Tofu's clinic.

    "Come in. I've been expecting you Ranma. Come back here." said Doctor 
Tofu's voice from the back of the clinic.

    Ranma walked into the back of the clinic where Tofu was, and then paused 
as he saw a familiar object.

    He pointed to it and said "You went there too."

    Tofu nodded and said "Yes Ranma, I did. In my youth I went there. I came 
back here and I was the same age as when I left, in the same time."

    "The same thing happened to me. I was there for many years, and I was 
dying of wounds at the age of 130 when I stumbled back through and I was 
here, at the same age I left, the same time I left." said Ranma.

    He looked at the doc and said "Is there a way back?"

    The doc looked at him and said "No. Not through this. Believe me, I 
know. I've tired. Once you've been through it and back, you can never go 
through it again. There are other ways back there. But I haven't found one 
yet. And I've looked fore years. You wouldn't find one soon."

    Ranma nodded and said "Then my duty is done. If there is no way back 
now, I can stay here."

    "Ranma, I will tell you what the man who went before me said to me when 
I returned." said Doctor Tofu. "It is very good advice to remember."

    Ranma looked at the doc. He paid attention to him.

    "Once a king in Narnia, always a king in Narnia." said Doctor Tofu.
