I don't mind reading it; I occasionally even learn a bit of Japanese I 
didn't already know.

So far you haven't done anything with this school, Mugen Gakuen, or its 
headmaster, Professor Tomoe.  You haven't even introduced the other 
three students we might expect to see here.  Are you actually planning 
to write hundreds of chapters and get to these points in their "normal" 
order, or are you planning some unexpected interactions here?  I think 
I'd find the latter more interesting.

This inspector certainly ought to be able to finger Ami, now that he 
knows he doesn't have to look for a weapon, given that her absence from 
school immediately afterwards was unusual for the school.  But what can 
he do with the information?  Confront her and see if she confesses?  
Reveal Ami's identity to the press?
