I think I figured out why, it looks like a bug in the code for the
listserv daemon (Mailman).  I think there's *at least* a workaround,
I'm just waiting on words to implement the fix - that part seems to be
about as clear as drywall.  It'll probably require a smidge of downtime
when I do, but...well, there ya go.
